Not sure if it has been discussed or even considered but any chance at all of Tyson Fury SPOTY?
66s......
Thoughts?
It's a bet I've had my eye on as I fancy his chances in the fight. ITV picking up the tv rights would be a boost, in all likelihood Hearn will scoop it up and bodge together another PPV card. Fury's persona is a bit marmite to say the least, but given time he comes across as a loveable big galoot. None of them are terribly endearing, but first white British Champ since forever, would be a coup, and I refer to my usual statement, if Giggs can win it with no personality and no great achievement etc. He was shagging his brother's wife for years wasn't he???

His profile with the general public outside of boxing fans is literally zero though isn't it? He is nothing like previous boxers who have won spoty.

Aren't we giving zero cred to people that vote in SPOTY.
Pretty sure some voters know a bit about sport outside of BBC 1 action.
Agree Fury not household atm, but lots of promo 'tween now and then.
I guess he must go sub 10-1 if he wins?

Adz is at least using his intuition to ask about a potential heavyweight world champion as that division will always appeal to and be understood by the layman.

Not looking for a ruck here adz seriously but if i did a random poll of 500 people in the street tomorrow tell me what fury and bruno are famous for how many people out of 500 do you think would know fury compared to Bruno? Even though bruno has retired 20 years ago. I just couldn't have Fury for this even if he wins the world title.
What price is Fury to win the fight? 8/1? 10/1?

Just seen he is top 7/2. Has the russian regressed that much? He probably is a bet at 66/1 if he is 7/2 top to win that fight in a very weak year. Murray at 14/1 given GB are 7/4 to win the davis cup for the first time in decades? ?

Looks like a spot to be watching during the fight
Very much doubt all of the firms will suspend and obviously if he looks like winning have a go then..
Quite like it tbh. Also think he is a decent bloke after originally not being sure
Does not seem quite as controversial as he once was either.
Really like him.as a boxer as well

Don't see how many of the public will have heard of him and will probably wish they hadn't when they hear what a vile individual he is.
I can see footballer win it this year, if nobody stands out.

Fury is an excellent athlete and he's learnt how to tuck his chin in.

This view of Tyson Fury seems to be at odds with this view.. ... think he is a decent bloke after originally not being sure

Inspector Clouseau ITT Some of what Fury comes out with is amusing, but can't say that I find him very endearing as a person.

Ando is getting pissed off with Suljovic's slow play.
Could be a big upset here.
