Does fred have a joe jennings account?  They are offering 2/1 Chelski for up to £250 to all new accounts per their advert in the racing post pullout.

Yes

it was used once and i believe tikay had a bad experience with them. never used them since

Real Madrid 6/4 to keep a clean sheet against spurs.

Vorm
Walker, Alderweireld, Wimmer, Rose
Alli, Dier; Dembele, Lamela, Eriksen
Kane

Looks like the back up striker on the bench is Chadli.

With Rafa playing an actual midfield these days, rather than just blokes slightly behind Benzema who will try to score, a 40% chance of keeping spurs at bay seems conservative.

£30 for £45 with Mr Mountain, if possible, please.

same as yesterday

pre-season friendlly. are we sure its really value four days before kick off for the season to be punting on such matches?

we already have this position

premier league top goalscorer 2015-16   Sterling   80/1   20   £10 e/w 1/4 1,2,3,4

http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/man-city/top-league-goalscorer has sterling favourite over Yaya

That's a very good price methinks, really expect/hope Sterling to hit the ground running. Can see him contributing quite a few goals this season.

Good to see you here Rotund Bloke.

Tighty's reply was not an objection, he was just stating the facts so you were aware.

All first time tipsters get a "free bet", so a fiver (ew?) can't be the worst thing in the world.

If we get on, we'd expect you to give us a little update after each Man City game, please. That eases Tighty's workload, keeps us ticking over, & maintains interest. Long term bets are like erections, sometimes they need a little help if matters go on for a while.

Thanks for all the responses on the Premier League Points spread bet.

http://www.sportingindex.com/spread-betting/football/domestic-long-term-markets/group_a.8946c8a1-49e8-4593-865a-309775a53b01/premier-league-points-2015-16

Shouldn't we be considering buying Stoke? They scored 54 points last season, and have made good signings .. surely they'll score higher than 49 this year?

Think Tighty and the boss will be more than happy with their exposure to stoke via the top mids club bet.  I don't disagree with you but i don't see much upside or downside from buying or selling Stoke's points.  I think they are possibly the least variant team points wise in the EPL. I can't see them falling much below 45 but there is limited upside realistically maybe a max ceiling of 55 realistically.

I do get that. Spurs will be wrapping Kane in cotton wool, too, and we are rather short in the goalscoring department. 6/4 was the best price and offered some value IMO. Pre season or not, we are rather tough to predict, except we don't score lots of goals with the current system and personnel.

I was nearly embarrassed after two minutes but instead may have proved my point:

2 - Spurs should be ahead! Walker down the right gets into the box and cuts a perfect pass back for Lamela...but he leans back, slips as he shoots and skies the straight-forward chance over the bar from eight yards

Argue makes a fair point I think - it's a spread bet, but Stoke, realistically, are not going to go much higher or lower than the spread.

How we looking for Spa? Explain these new regulations, please, as to "driver aids" which got the car off the line quicker now being changed/outlawed?

Haha, look at the article I just found by pure co-incidence:

Probably a little optimistic, but very encouraging!

Yeah would have to be e/w for sure.

Looking at recent seasons and getting into the top 4 of the scoring charts can require a lot of goals (4th in 2009/10 was Tevez with 23, Benteke in 2012/13 with 19 and Austin last year with 18), or a somewhat paltry amount (14 was enough for Robinho and Torres in 2008/9, and just 13 goals in 2010/11 was enough for mushy pea, Malouda, Kuyt, Van Der Vaart and Campbell (lol!) to share the honours of making the top 4).

Anywhere around the 20 goal mark should be close, and he has previous for that amount. He's had a low key summer tabloid wise, which can only be a good thing.

Happy to report how shit, wasteful and lazy he is after every game Smiley

Quick Alan Hudson story

its the 76-77 season and I am goalkeeper for my school, U11s

Hudson has just moved back to London from Stoke, playing for Arsenal

Hudson has a son, also called Alan, who he puts in my school, and cue much excitement as he's bound to be decent isn't he?

Indeed he is. No-one can get the ball off this tiny lad in the school playground, and on the playing fields he drives the PE teachers to distraction because once he gets the ball its beat ten men and shoot and never pass

Anyway, games against other schools are Wednesday afternoons. great fun, especially as it means an afternoon off lessons

September 76. We're at home to big local rivals

I'm in goal

A dishevelled figure appears in the distance in a grubby kaftan, unshaven and with a bottle of something in a paper bag in one hand and a fag in the other

He stands on the touchline and watches his son. Its Alan Hudson

Anyway we are 10 and 11 year olds. The PE teacher is old school, and barks at the lads to "get it forward" at every opportunity

After about five minutes of watching the ball fly over his son's head in both directions, Hudson marches onto the pitch and stops the game

"ref, this isn't helping my son, we're off"

takes young Alan by the hand, now a spare hand as the fag is in his mouth, and marches to the car park

Young Alan never played for the school again

With ten men, we lost.

Great story.

He was, to my mind, a decent player, but he did have his head well & truly up his arse.

Talking of Alan's demise, I saw a sad tale yesterday that Kenny Samson has succumbed to the booze again.

Also, Colin Hendry got himself in a bit of bother over a girl.
