I'll read and reply to all those betting strategy posts later, I do appreciate the advice
Spotted another angle here:

Massa/Raikkonen market. I would suggest buying Massa at 5.
Massa starts 6th, Raikkonen 17th .. in pretty much equal cars pace wise. That's good value I would say. Just not sure what stake size to suggest
we only do spread bets that third parties place
we don't haver spread accounts for the thread
I'm happy to do it for the thread, if you'd like? Just need to know what stake you'd like to put.
what is the downside?
massa out, raikkonen makes up 10 points plus his finishing spot?
as we both are busy, i think we will leave this please. have no time to investigate
I'm sure Peter would have looked at downsides and upsides prior to tipping/betting himself. Would have thought he's given the thread enough good things on F1 to be followed without approval needed, just like Arb has and others. Seems most get scrutinised by yourself when you don't personally like the look of a bet before being accepted though.

I love this scousers attitude. Shit or bust. All in on that final long jump. She is an amazing athlete. 6 foot tall. Tall lean and powerful and still only 22. Disgraceful she had to do that final 800m. Can't wait to see her in action at Rio next year. Really hope she takes the positives out of her winners mentality even at 22 she just wanted to crush the event and not interested in locking up a bronze.
So tilting these results orientated BBC studio mugs. Long jump is her bingo event. If she is 1cm further back on teh board and nailed a 6.95m jump with the same aggressive nature to go all out to win none of this results orientated BS would have been spoken even though she took the same gamble. She had to go balls out for it as that is where all her points are if she wants to win. She is raw and naive. Yes. She is 22. She has 10 years at the top if she remains injury free. It MBN for GB to have two world class talents in one event. Daley selling his services on the bbc alongside wearing his standard 'i am still sponsored by adidas so i will wear it on the bbc' even though advertising on the bbc isn't allowed. Still have no idea how Daley gets away with his adidas polo shirt advertising on the bbc year in year out. Why is he allowed to dress in a polo shirt and tracksuit bottoms in a studio clearly being paid by Adidas for his own personal gain? Boris becker was told quite clearly on the bbc he wasn't allowed to wear obviously Ralph Lauren merchandise during Wimbledon on the bbc that he was getting paid to wear. I have no idea how Daley keeps getting away with it.

again there is no need for this. his fixed odds stuff is followed automatically if we can get on. there is absolutely no problem i think, and shouldn't be, if i or anyone asks questions about a potential bet along the way
Peter knows his F1 but i am sure he would accept that he is inexperienced in markets, especially spread markets, staking and betting generally
he and someone like arbboy are chalk and cheese. arbboy may be a pillock at times but i know he knows the markets he is betting in inside out.
so i will carry on scrutinising thanks, means i take the thread and its return seriously

That's not the situation Matty.
Fred uses my money, & I don't really understand the nuances of Spreads, so I asked Tighty to go easy on them.
No disrespect to Peter at all, but when, say, Dung or Mr Beevers (& a few others) talk about spreads, they know exactly what they are doing as to the mechanics of spread betting.
My issue is nothing to do with the selection, just the means of betting it. We have just never done spreads, maybe 4 or 5 out of 5,000 bets.
Before I quit betting in around 2002, I done my conkers on spreads, & it leaves a scar.
Maybe, moving forward, we will move into spreads, but at the moment, I need my hand held by a Big Boy before I do much in the way of spreads, as I don't fully understand the downside, nor does Tighty.
Peter's selections are great, no question about it. That is not the issue though. We are just not set up - yet? - for Spread Betting, & until we - Tighty & I - understand it better, the default is "no".
Everyone else can get on though, that's the main thing, so I don't see the problem at all.

Anyway, it's about to start, so good luck all, hope everyone gets the lot, & if Fred misses a winner or two, that does not matter to me.

Think shes a big price for the long jump. Them jumps if legal would have been top3 of diamond leagues.

Looks like it ..
Bets voided as he doesn't start? Depends on bookies rules regarding the formation lap.

Hat's off to the grader in that 800m race. Never seen a 4 way photo that tight outside of a sprint ever.

1/9 20/1 (bf for decent money) arb on this. Max bet for me at 1/9 if you can get it. Oh to be able to get on at Boyles!
If fred has a balance at VC then drop the lot on it up to £500 please at 1/10. If you don't want £500 liab then just lay £500 at 1.05 on bf and have a freeroll to win £25.

What do people think the winning 100m time will be? I am going for an eased up on the bridle 9.68 from Gatlin.
