it is an interesting angle

i would be careful at championship level and above

for example i was surprised to see a fortnight ago that leicester flew on a charter from east midlands to bournemouth..took 45 mins and door to door training ground to hotel was under 2 hours

would hull etc fly to gatwick? then fly to bristol (?)

the hassle/travel factor of these successive away trips is much less than it would be for carlisle or exeter etc? i don't know, but i will raise the point anyway

Championship level is definitely the cut off league between budget travel and larging it.  Some championship teams will large it with epl payments etc to fund it.  More budget teams will do the lower league bus travel i would imagine.  Knowing which teams do which would be handy.

I think Twitter/facebook might help. You're often seeing posts like "Team is at training ground" and stuff.

Charlton v Huddersfield might be an interesting game to look at. Huddersfield back from a long trip against Cardiff, not sure what would be ideal for them.

Brentford have definitely stayed up north but we always lose to Boro anyways so it won't make any difference!

With an 8pm scheduled kick off at West Ham, visitors Newcastle United have yet to arrive (7pm) according to MNF.

The A13 has been closed all day, and Upton Park tube station is closed, too.

Now arrived, after reportedly walking the last part of the journey.

I am not sure how Hull would stay over personally, but would be debatable about Rotherham? It surely would be silly to come back up north?

stay in hotel in Brighton until monday then travel to Cardiff monday afternoon?  Sunday would be a rest day anyway surely?  Could be a good mini break for some team bonding if the clubs thought about it.

Surely you stop near half way?  A couple of journeys of less than 2 hours are no bother at all especially if not driving.  I'd probably save the shorter journey for match day and go most of the way there after match 1.  I frequently drive 3 hours or so and though it is a chore, it isn't going to mean I can't function the day after.   It would definitely be much harder if they went all the way back to Hull.  If you can find teams that have done that, it must be worth something.

Sorry if wrong end of this

http://mobile.themillers.co.uk/news/article/rotherham-united-lee-frecklington-brighton-hove-albion-2688637.aspx

Towards the bottom of that article Steve Evans says they stayed down in Charlton and are.now in Brighton already

Personally I would be surprised if any champ sides didn't do this these days.

Been trying to post since 2pm what a con etci on

How bad are Newcastle? Really poor tonight. Had to laugh at 88 mins when they decided to take a corner short - almost like they were running the clock down.

ok to go along with my tip at the weekend for rooney top scorer in scotland (now 5.0 1/4 top 4 in from 7.0)

i have spotted some value on aberdeen to win the league

lolbrookes have gone 1.08 celtic 8.0 aberdeen which i think is laughable
the majority of the bookies are still sticking at 1.05 celtic 11.0 aberdeen which seems about right and right about where betfair exchange has them
3 bookies have gone 13.0 they are sporting satin and billy mountains

aberdeen have a home game against a reasonable but inconstant hamilton tuesday evening to catch up with game missed a couple of weeks back
so any bet will need to be done in next 19 hours i recomend £5 with billys

to go along with this i was looking at the winner w/o celtic market aberdeen is way to short and i am liking the look of hearts
they are available at 8.0 with the other tony kendall a few places 7.5 and 7.0 i really fancied the EW 1/3 top 2
hearts should be finishing 3rd this season and  could finish higher but of the 5 firms offering the e/w the best price is 6.5 with billy montains
so i will leave that with the maths boys i would like to think betting £5 at 8.0 or £10ew at 6.5

cliffs
aberdeen to win spl @13.0 £5 with WH
hearts to win spl w/o celtic @8.0 with tony kendall  £5 or £10ew @6.5 with WH

i might be stupid but i don't understand

if aberdeen win the first bet, hearts cannot win the second and vice versa

how can they both be value?

how can they both be value?

If I offered Man city to win the league at 50/1 and Chelsea to win the league at 200/1 you would back them both wouldn't you tighty

I'm not saying the above is value or not I have no idea but the comment how can they both be value is silly

Its difficult for Aberdeen to be too big to win the league, and too short to win w/o Celtic, as the prices for both will have some correlation.
