Pre-Practice Japanese GP Bets:

Race Winner - Lewis Hamilton @ 4/5 with batfred, poddypower, lodbrokes, holls and batway. Actually, my instinct is telling me Rosberg will win this weekend, but the price on Lewis is too good to miss out on. Suggest £20. Might well suggest a bet on Nico later in the weekend, depending on the price.

Points Finish - Max Verstappen @ 6/4 with 365, batfred, poddypower, coral. Toro Rosso should run well here, I like the price. Suggest £10.

Points Finish - Jenson Button @ 4/1 with Bwon. A Honda powered car scoring points at Jenson's adopted home race? Got to happen, surely? 4/1 is a good price on a weekend where we'll probably see Honda turn up their engine as much as possible. A good price, despite the fact the car might break down. Suggest £10.

Top Six Finish - Nico Hulkenberg @ 4/1 with poddypower, coral and Bwon. A good price on a track Force India should do well on, suggest £10.

Practice One, Top Six Finish - Hulkenberg @ 4/1 & Perez @ 4/1 with Bwon. Didn't work at the last GP, but did the race beforehand. Should do so again if Williams sandbag as per usual. Either way, it's a price that's way too high. Suggest £25 on each.

Practice One, Top Six Finish -
Alonso @ 9/1, Button @ 9/1 and Stevens @ 50/1 all with Bwon. We're expecting a very wet session (2AM UK Time BTW, so these bets need to go on tonight), it's quite possible that most cars will choose not to run. I've picked the McLarens because they may well go do some "glory runs" with the Honda directors looking on, and Stevens just because it's 50/1. Hard to suggest a stake on this. I'll be doing £5 each on the McLaren's and £2.50 on Stevens.

To Reach Q3 - Carlos Sainz @ 3/1 with lodbrokes. This price is far too high, Carlos has been on great form of late. Suggest £25.

Bottas podium looks interesting, but I expect the price will be highest just before qualifying, so I'll hold off until then.

Bengals@Ravens Just putting this out there to nobody in particular.Think this is the best team we've put out since the 80's and thought this game would be a pickem.Ravens are desperate to win this game and might well do but corals 13/10 bengals seems a decent price to me.Expecting more 4 receiver sets and a few Sanu Burkhead surprises.

Jimmy Hill wins the races.

I O TV's Tony Kendall £109+£50 stake. Got a chunk coming back on July hottest month, so will keep it on my records for now.

Not a great CBB for TfT, but a small profit tonight to add to Austin's top USA bink.

Ergo...

Sorry, I only checked back here now as the session began.

For those who did get on; the session has begun in very wet conditions. Couple of cars on track to do installation laps, but no times yet.

In summary, "it's raining, and the track is wet".

End of the session, twelve drivers set lap times, but the Force India's didn't sadly. Good job the thread didn't get on! Smiley
