Charlie Nicholas and Tony Cottee mocking Swansea for considering and pursuing Bielsa. Not for him being bonkers but because he isn't a young, British manager like Gary Rowett.

Phil Thompson criticises Klopp for doing his thank you to the fans at the end of the game thing.

No idea why I watch this nonsense every Saturday.

Meanwhile, on Planet Earth, Hiddink appointed.

Nothing better than when Charlie says 'score draw' like its still 1978 and the pools really mattered to the average punter.

West brom look a massive price to me at 17/10 to beat Bournemouth at home.

Stoke similar at 13/8 v Palace

It's becoming a parody of itself now. I expect the script for the run-through is something like

Jeff says two teams play each other today who have a vaguely interesting but completely irrelevant historic stat. One team is missing Player X today.

Jeff asks pundit 1 whether team A will miss player X

Pundit 1 says team A will, then babbles insanely about how player X is hard to replace, how team A is better with player X and how any team would be.

Jeff brings in Pundit 2 to ask about whether the manager of team B is in trouble.

Pundit 2 explains he shouldn't be, but this is a results business and the Premier League nowadays is unforgiving. If he goes, you can't see who is going to replace him because he's done a fantastic job.

Jeff points out the team is doing badly.

Pundit 2 defends his position and explains chairmen never give managers a chance these days. (If Pundit 2 is Charlie Nicholas, he will cite Arsene Wenger)

I turn over to watch the racing.

Then you realise why bookmakers love football 50 times more than racing in 2015 because millions of wagons are feed this sky sports results orientated bs every saturday and bookmakers make absolute hay from it all.

Quite so.

Any interest in the Ladbroke today?

I like Waxies Dargle. Tactical runner who'll stay and enjoy the ground. 5 places 1/4 and we can get 12/1 with Billy Mountains.

Any views?

Right, in addition to the Buemi bet;

Race Winner - Sam Bird @ 7/1 - £10 EW with brokes is a good bet. He won't win the race, but has a great shot at a podium Smiley

If last year's SPOTY taught us anything, it's to never underestimate the petrolhead vote.

Seems to me that's what's going on re: Lewis Hamilton's top three price.

Given Tyson Fury's antics, I'd say there's more chance of arbboy replying to a PM than him making the top three, so doesn't this essentially become a HU v Sinfiield? That's assuming Jess is nailed on for a top three also...

We can either back Lewis to finish second (5-1) and third (14-1) with Laddies, or take 3.9 for a top three on the machine. Whichever suits best Tighty. Invest £30 either way.

I've put it up at 3.9, but it's currently unmatched. (Current price 3.7).

£30 @ 3.9, Betfair Exchange, Lewis Hamilton, SPOTY (unmatched)

Chelsea fans singing "where were you when we were sh**?" at their players.

Can't help but feel they have a point.

I'm away all day and hopefully tikay has the reins if any ideas are posted

for now a quick reminder of our Ladbrokes sweats for later

Ladbroke Hurdle   massagot   10/1   20
ladbroke hurdle   some plan   14/1   30   £15 e/w 1/4 1,2,3,4

http://www.oddschecker.com/horse-racing/ascot/15:35/winner

A nice 4th place for Some Plan, so that's ok, wp Adz.

Cannot find the market now on Ladbrokes, Peter, it appears to have been withdrawn or suspended.

I'll keep my eye open, but I will be otherwise engaged shortly and for most of the evening, so I may miss it.

How can they separate two sprinters by a thousandth of a second and not two horses?

LvG's seat on the bench (posh car seat these days I guess) must be getting extremely uncomfortable.

Currently, at Old Trafford, Man U 0, Norwich 2.

Was suspended due to qualifying. As all the action happens on Saturday, there is very little time between sessions.

Buemi made a mistake on his quick lap in qualifying, and will start 5th. Will be interesting to see what happens, I'm expecting a race of attrition.

I'll see if there are any other good spots when odds come back online.

Anyone who says Chelsea waste money hasn't seen their marketing department.
