I like that Tal.
In fantasy related stuff, Is Karl's Williams going to rush for billions of yards, or is his shoulder I jury going to see him out performed by Gillislee?

They'll both get snaps today. Gillislee is probably slightly more the upside player but the Bills really like Williams. They're 12 and 7/1 to be first Touchdown Scorer today. The Bills always defer, but I'm not sure what Dallas do if the win the toss.

I'd be starting Williams today in fantasy if I had him (actually tried to trade for him a few weeks back with this game in mind!)

Nothing like a 1/4 jolly in the Emerald Isle falling is there?

Love the hometown commentary. English horse, Simply Ned, going to win and he's mumbling along. Irish horse Flemenstar catches him and he goes bananas.

That commentator often sounds as if he's being strangled on the run-in.

Well translated, my phone is intent on typing absolute gibberish today!!

Drew Brees is barely able to walk but will start today. The Saints have the worst defense in the league and genuinely one of the worst defenses of all time. Simply, Brees HAS to play because he will be needed to accrue a lot of points with his arm, if they have any chance of keeping up with the opposition.

That opposition is another pass-first offense in the Jacksonville Jaguars. This could be a 90 point game.

The line is 51.5. Anyone else fancy following the masses with an over?

The fact that Ar Mad and Vaniteux went much qicker in the novice's race directly preceding that one suggests that SS and SDG are a good stone below their previous marks.

Still a tremendous race, a great spectacle, and more pain for the 1.02 merchants.

Paddy has a line for Karlos of 55.5, Stu, if you're interested.

Sprinter Sacre must have been nearly a stone clear of Sire De Grugy on their peak ratings?  Sprinter Sacre was up with Kauto Star on 190 odd on Timeform.  No idea what Vaniteaux's rating is after today, but 3 stone off that would be a respectable 150 for a novice.

Great race for me too.

It's windy in Buffalo today. Wind is the big weather problem in the NFL; kicks get missed, throws go off target and catches are harder to make.

Bills head coach, Rex Ryan, has spoken of the team needing to focus on the run because of it and primary receiver Dez Bryant is out for the Cowboys. Darren McFadden isn't an elite running back but he has been performing well of late, with consecutive hundred yard games. He faces a Bills team that has stopped defending against the run altogether and, with a good offensive line, he will have plenty of opportunities to get some numbers this evening, too.

His line? 75.5.

Put me off a decent bet, here, Tighty...

If you fancy it, £40 ish, please.

dallas are in very much the mode of "organic tanking", where losing gets a top 5 draft pick, though they cannot say it publically

trying out a 4th quarterback of the season, resting Dez (he'd be playing if there was anything on the game), promoting young players from the practice squad

whilst this would suggest that the emphasis here will be on the run, as kellen moore doesn't have a big arm and the receiving corps is below nfl standard, it might also suggest that the younger running backs will see significant action as part of the evaluation process for next season's roster

if this were a game a few weeks ago i would say mcfadden would get 20+ carries at 3+ ypc and 65-70 yards minimum i have my doubts he'll see that volume today, depending on game flow

Ar Mad set a proper gallop, somersby didnt. VV got 3 lengths closer to SDG, did he improve or did the pace not suit the big two. SS is clearly not the machine he was, dont think that a million miles off SDGs level, in this ground.

10 is usually too old to win a CC, with french breeding it seems even less probable. (they seem to go out earlier- maybe because they are better stayers younger or mixed breeding means the struggle with 2m pace)

Pleased to see Kellen Moore get a chance. When I followed the NCAA closely a few tears back, he was the star man for a very exciting Boise State team. A real school legend for them. Best pitch in all of US sports too.
