Lol @ "Man City Academy". Poor old Percy Plump won't be happy. Incidentally, Tighty, he's gonna try & pop in to see us on Friday evening at UKPC.

Great bet by horsey, well dome John, & once again, hector delivers.

My hangover and thus feeling like death is around the corner is of more concern than throwing the FA Cup Smiley

Definitely at DTD on Friday night, go easy on me.

5 wins on the bounce for Roma but sadly it will probably be too little too late, the Juventus juggernaut will take some stopping.

An early bird for next weekend.

Champagne West has been a bit of a disappointment for the Hobbs team, so far, this year. He ran a cracker, when second, in the Caspian Caviar Gold Cup in December first time out and last time out was pulling his way into the lead in the Freebets Handicap when he made a bad error and Dickie sensibly pulled him up soon after.

Behind the scenes, Dickie took the mistake as his own error, and it has, probably cost him the ride, at the owners request(!). Tom O Brien schools him at home, and will probably be given the ride next week.

This horse is very well thought of at Hobbs's and even has a Gold Cup entry! Three miles looks like bringing about more improvement, and I am amazed he hasn't been put over further already. The slower pace should give him that extra bit of time at his fences, and I fancy this could be the key to him realising the potential.

There is a sort of inevitability he will get backed, and as long as he makes it safely during the week, I expect him to go off a lot shorter than the current 10-1. He was backed into 7/4 in a very strong handicap last time at Cheltenham.

Hobbs loves the race, having won it 4 times in the past, and would appear to have the front of the market dominated with Kruzhlinin(now out) and Sausalito Sunrise and Fingal Bay also near the head of the market. I cant see SS running again so soon, after winning yesterday, so it maybe just Fingal Bay going with him, but I felt he was being laid out of for a handicap at Cheltenham.

I would love to steam into this, but, as recent events have proven, a week in racing as you gear a horse towards a big race, can be a long time, but we may miss some significant juice if we leave it too late.

Recommend  £15 ew at 10-1 for the Betbright Chase at Kempton next week

Best price now 6-1

bet365

"Arsenal take on Barcelona in the Champions League on Tuesday 23rd February – and we’ve got a fantastic In-Play bet offer to add to the excitement.

Place a pre-match bet on the Arsenal v Barcelona game and we'll give you a risk free In-Play bet to the same stake (up to £50) on the big match. T&Cs apply.

To qualify for your risk free In-Play bet, simply place a bet before kick-off then, once the game starts, place another bet on any In-Play market. If your FIRST In-Play bet loses we will refund this stake, up to the same value as your largest pre-match bet (max refund £50). Where more than one In-Play selection is placed on the same bet slip, the risk free bet will be deemed to be the one which is first on the bet slip.

All bets must be paid for and placed in the usual way. Any bets that are fully or partly Cashed Out are excluded from this offer. You can see full Terms and Conditions for the offer here.

As always, there’ll be plenty to choose from with over 70 In-Play markets available throughout the game including Next Goal, Match Goals, Match Corners, Half-Time Result, Full-Time Result and much mor"

£130 Robinesse, 8-13 Baldy, 3.40 Taunton.

It's a two-horse race and I can't have the pair anything like this close in price.

Flickkkkkkk!

today was the first day of pre-season testing in Barcelona

Mercedes once again put in the miles. the ferrari was quickest this time last year, and its early days, both teams are talking a four car two team title battle, but then they would do

all the teams down to mclaren are on medium tyres for these times, the McLaren is on softs

indications are that the McLaren is 10-14kmh slower than any mercedes engine car at the speed trap at the end of the the main straight

note for Peter, we haven't been matched on rosberg at 5.5. i can wait that out, or adopt another strategy.

FYP.   Exact Corners/FGS should be ok.

Gone Arsenal on the first bet too, but that is a different argument.

For those not watching, The Jump has a couple of weeks left.  I don't think thread got on, but my 6/1 tip, Dean Cain is now 2/1; Chompy's 6/1 tip, Tom Parker is now 7/4.  It should be between the two, as they have dominated the events between them.  On previous, there is a good chance they'll put them against each other in the final, so we might not get the head to head.
