Can we have a speculatitve wager on Umar Akmal to top score for Pakistan today? he's down to bat number 4, which would normally put me off a little bit, but Pakistan's top order fails so much he often has quite a lot of time at the crease. Today's opponents India have a good record of taking wickets in the powerplay (Think Nehra took at least one in approx 10 straight games recently, and Bumrah is also a regular wicket taker) so I don't fancy the openers due to that. He was in good form in the recent Pakistan Super League, been a bit hit-and-miss since then (2 good contributions, 3 single figure scores) but at 11/2 in this line-up I think he represents a touch of value. Betfred pay out as a winner if he scores 50+ regardless of if he top scores or not, so that's some added insurance and they are joint top price (same concession for every game so worth keeping in mind in future also). High variance with short format/middle order batsman so only rec a tenner sweat. starts 2pm

For anyone interested swindons price has now dropped to a best 29/10 (bet366) from the 16/5 last night, still worth taking. Wouldn't be surprised if the price dropped more closer to kick off. With regard to it being a playoff contender vs bottom half, you only have to look at the table to see how close it really is. Swindon are only 6 points behind Coventry, and have a game in hand. Playoffs to bottom half is very tight, and given the recent form of both teams Swindon should be backed, especially given their goal scoring ability.

I also like the look of Yeovil against Cambridge at 23/10 with Skai/Billyhills. Yeovil have won four on the bounce and drew the two before that (draws coming against teams 3rd and 6th). Cambridge have only won 1 in 4 and are struggling for goals, just 3 in that same 4 game period. Yeovil have a very solid backline, no goals conceded in 5 games, and I can't see why this would change against a team not scoring many.

Their results the last few weeks is consistent to say the least, four 1-0 wins in a row. I'd also recommend £10 on the 1-0 win exhange at 9/1, and can also be found at 17/2 with victor.

no feedback on swindon unfortunately

i don't intend to do the 1-0 bet, cheaper ways of sticking tails on donkeys aren't there? ;-)

Swindon Coventry v Swindon Winner
11/4
Total Stake: £15.00
Potential Returns: £56.25

we need cambridge to win. might as well esochomp

Yeovil Cambridge Utd v Yeovil Winner
23/10
Total Stake: £15.00
Potential Returns: £49.50

Haha can't blame you with the 1-0, just a little bit of an arrow that a mug like myself thought might be worth it!

TY all for the Cheltenham bets from everyone aswell. I know close to nothing about horse racing so it was fun to have a few quid profit and some fun watching the ponies.

Been reported up here that the Motherwell squad has been hit pretty hard by a flu bug. Full details here http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35792171

Motherwell are in good form, winning 4 of their last 5. However they have a small squad and a fair amount of injuries to add to the flu bag, meaning at the very least their preparations will have been severely disrupted. Aberdeen simply have to win every game from now on in to have any chance of winning the league and have won 4 of the last 5 away meetings with Well, drawing the other.

I have backed Aberdeen -1 @ 2.9 (currently 3.0). Suggest £15.  They are currently trading at 1.72 if the safer option is preferred.

Good morning all,

The 15.25 at Uttoxeter has a perfect E/W make up with 3 at the top who look plenty short enough and 16 runners. I like Champagne at Tara who brings form from the rock solid Betfair Hurdle that Agrapart hosed up in :-). 9/1 is variously available and I'd recommend £20 E/W.

Looks like a fail on the attempted link but I can't see why, apologies for that.

17 runners in the silver cup today. 4 places 1/4 everywhere.

Nicky Henderson says he loves Champagne Express but the last run was a disappointment. Nico missing on top, too.

I still can't resist at 25/1.

I spend a lot of time getting grief for being a champagne socialist, in light of that and the excellent E/W shape of both races, I won't be able to resist a modest Champagne E/W double.

Good luck to everyone today and many thanks to all for the excellent tips on this thread, in spite of all the excellent tipsters we've lost, it really must be the best free betting resource available anywhere.

Sorry. 3.15 at Kempton.

It is a horse I have mentioned before ITT. A good friend has half an eyelash. Nothing more than personal interest really. Was entered into the Coral Cup and the Martin Pipe but didn't make the cut.

See if any wiser sages think it is worth a bet

33/1 in a few places now tal

Awful book atm, caused by bookies trying to dodge the mullins horse, so may go bigger

4 hours to wait with 16 runners.  Good luck
