Aintree has come up soft, after heavy rain overnight

many horses run again after cheltenham where it was good ground

today, or tomorrow, or even the grand national are there any opportunities here for softer ground horses to reverse cheltenham form

for example, don poli? (not a recommendation)

how are many clouds and holywell if its good to soft or heavier in the national? last year, iirc, good weather and good ground

I like Poults in the GB+I market.

Back to something like his best after a 3rd place finish LTO in Puerto Rico and with some question marks about the form of those at the top of the market 20/1 looks very fair value to me. Decent C+D form too.

Recommend £10 EW Ian Poulter @20/1 to be top GB+I.

I could only find 1/5th odds 1-2-3 but obviously 1/4 would be better.

BET 365 Grand National Offer

The Grand National takes place on Saturday 9th April and we’ve got a fantastic money back offer for Each-Way bets placed on the world’s greatest horse race.

All you have to do is place your bets on the Grand National between Thursday 7th April and midday on Saturday 9th April. We will then give you half the stake back for every Each-Way bet that you place, up to a maximum total refund of £125 per customer.

I was about to post about this, seems too good to be true!

Many Clouds handles anything, but likes some cut.

Holywell prefers good ground, but has run well on worse.

Pretty sure 365 did this same offer last year? Incred stuff tbf.

Takes a lot of rain to make Aintree really soft, as in the sort of ground for Red Marauder's National. Still think there's every chance we see 10-1 the field tomorrow evening.

Ballydine between 7-2 and 4-1 for the Sefto. Pleasing.

The "over-round" is the bookmakers profit as a %age.

So 164 means a theoretical profit of 64% on a perfectly balanced book (ie every horse backed to take out the same amount).

The key point Rod is never just put the horse's name on a big race betting slip as you will get the starting price (SP) which will be the worst odds possible*, always take an early price, preferably online.

Hey,  I posted once before about a horse that won, same source I have just spoken to tells me that Manilla Present is spot on for the 4:40 at Aintree today.

Any thoughts?
