not ignoring you, just hoping for corroboration/support or opprobrium as appropriate to know whether to place the bets or not

i must say, premier league golden boot is a really fun market this year. 4 places e/w and lots of candidates at prices for the places

Sorry if it's already been mentioned (not been keeping up) but Charlie Austin at 66/1 five places 1/4 with Betty Sportspunt? Pelle and Mane have flown the nest and someone has to score the goals. He was a fringe England player not all that long ago.

Very much agreed.

Gonna throw another one in the mix.....Carroll. Had a good end to last season. New stadium and saw something about Bilic wanting to entertain all the fans this year (he's obv gonna say this though). Being fed by Payet. Injuries a concern. A fit and playing Carroll can notch 20 goals a season IMO. He's massive at Unibets 100s, as low as 28s elsewhere, most are 66/1.

Isn't it about the time of year when we normally bet on Jay Rodriguez?  Surely they are getting someone in and surely even you and Marky can't get on with bf sportsbook?

Austin didn't play much after arriving in January. I thought Long was ahead of him? Perhaps Ironside can let us know the current status? If fit (he has injury concerns) and first choice, he'd certainly be a runner. Perhaps better to wait until closer to season starting.
I could say exactly the same for Carroll. WH have been throwing around a few big money bids for strikers. Would certainly be a runner if first choice and could stay fit but unfortunately he has even more injury concerns than Austin.
Costa, if he stays, and at 20/1 looks the best of those mentioned to me.
But again, unless we think the price is going to collapse, I think waiting until as close to the start as the season as possible is best for most of these. Historically there is often a triple figure runner that gets into the places so no harm in having the discussion.

My Sporting Bet .. bet was restricted. Is Marathon Bet a genuine, reputable firm?

Only asking after I was actively using a Titan Bet account, until a guy called Anthony warned me about their reputation when it comes to withdrawals

Not had any problems with Marathon, Peter.

One of the few I seem to be able to.

Man City to be highest scoring team, 2/1 with Bald.

Seems pretty trivial to outline why Wink but we have topped the scoring charts 4 years running, see no reason for this run to end. The addition of the attack minded Guardiola coupled with the signings of Sane and Nolito, with Jesus joining at Christmas (no pun) gives us added firepower. Expect Aguero to thrive with the service available to him and he is the best finisher in the division. No-one has improved their forward line as much as City this window.

Key point is we now have a master tactician for those games when teams set out to frustrate us; Pellers had no plan B and it would sometimes show on the pitch, can't foresee that happening under Pep.

Expect Jose to park the bus for a lot of the big games, and Conte being Italian will probably not go hell for leather every game. Biggest threat probably comes from Spurs but its difficult to look past City making it 5 in a row.
