Lolerpool looking rather impressive at the moment, should we be diving in and betting like men?

If only we had an expert to guide us..

Apologies if this was posted before but this is a fantastic (and sad?) story told by Saunders of when Brian Clough tried to sign Saunders back in the day.

Saunders has been accused of making a lot of it up. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/sep/07/brian-clough-dean-saunders-nottingham-forest

I'm away over part of a Grand Prix weekend and there are MORE posts about F1 than usual .. severely confused.

Most of the bets placed so far seem more like hopeful punts rather than value spots; but that's just my personal opinion, they could just as equally turn out to be winners

The Singapore race schedule is completely unique. The race taking place at night means that the daytime FP1 & FP3 sessions have absolutely zero relevance to the pecking order between teams due to the impact of temperatures. The tyres are the only four contacts areas with the ground, and they have very narrow operating ranges in the Pirelli era - this has varying effects on all teams which, as an example, is one reason why we've seen the battle between Ferrari & Red Bull flip flop all season. FP3 tomorrow will produce different results to FP2 earlier today, but there will be no reads available on how the race will pan out from FP3.

So, based on (mainly) FP2, here are my suggestions:

Race Winner - Max Verstappen @ 6/1 with the exchange (anything over 4/1 is okay). In my mind, this race should be between Daniel and Max for the win. I would make Max the favourite between the two .. based on the fact he is the guy that drives closer to the edge which can gain you a lot of time on a street circuit; on the assumption you don't bin it that is. I'm aware that the EW top three is available, but I'm not really comfortable taking 1/5. If you are able to get over EVS for the EW portion of the bet, then do it, if not, don't. Suggest £25.

http://www.oddschecker.com/motorsport/formula-one/singapore-grand-prix/winner

Podium Finish - Max Verstappen @ 21/20 with the exchange. As I said above, over EVS. £20.

http://www.oddschecker.com/motorsport/formula-one/singapore-grand-prix/top-3-finish

Pole Position - Max Verstappen @ 11/2 (looking for over 4/1). Very wary that a bad qualifying would also ruin the two bets above, however, the prices are too good to turn down. £20.

http://www.oddschecker.com/motorsport/formula-one/singapore-grand-prix/pole-position

Points Finish - Daniil Kvyat @ 13/10 with the exchange (looking for over 6/5). I see Toro Rosso as the 5th best team in race trim this weekend. Daniil, in theory, should finish 10th with a clean weekend .. and everyone in the paddock is hoping for this to happen after his dismal last five months. £10.

Points Finish - Valtteri Bottas @ 15/8 with PatrickPower/Choral (looking for over 6/5). Sandbagging as per usual through practice, will be there or there about come the end of the race, price too high. Suggest £25.

http://www.oddschecker.com/motorsport/formula-one/singapore-grand-prix/points-finish

Top Six Finish - Sergio Perez @ 15/8 with the exchange (7/4 minimum). Expected to be best of the rest behind the top six teams, might be able to pip Raikkonen during the race. Could also benefit from retirements ahead. Suggest £20.

Another way to play this would be to dutch Newcastle winning 2-0 (around 8-1), and Newcastle to score over 2.5 (16-5 with Coralol), which comes out at around a 2-1 shot. Then we also bink if Newcastle score 3 or more and Wolves run them close in a high-scorer, so it might even be a better option.

What do we know that the market doesn't though? Other than that the Geordies are a bit deece and whooped QPR's butt?

Morning Tighty.

Today's superleague sees Catalan host Cstleford in a game that doesn't matter. Catalans have been woeful for several months now and have a large number of injuries to contend with. On the other hand Castleford have had notable scalps over Hull and Wigan. They have the league's top try scorer in Solomona and play a very adventurous game, so hot weather and a game that should be very open will suit them. I think the price on Castleford to win is too high.

Suggest £20 Castleford @ 7/4 with Coral or Ladbrokes.

I've just browsed OC & still plenty of 12/5 and near available with others. It's available with Coral too.

I think what we know about Newcastle is that they are starting to come good, not only hammered QPR, but was very comfortable against Derby too. But what about Wolves? They aren't looking great and shipped a few themselves against Barnsley. Can only see another comfortable result for Newcastle

Maybe looking for easier races, in pursuit of Crowley?

Bwin are the only ones 12/5 on my OC, so went to do it there.

Was restricted, but Fred can have £30 if it wants.

On the jolly in six of the eight races. Second fav in one and no ride in the other. So his agent is doing well enough in that regard. No doubt this is the most effective strategy for him if none of the big boys apart from Johnson will use him. Just wondered if anyone had heard why he seems unpopular with them? He seems such an easy-going character.

He keeps himself to himself away from the track I'm led to believe. He is not particularly pally with the other jocks and is very much his own man.
