Hampshire signed Abbott and Roussow today as Kolpak. Basically now have 3 top overseas players in 4-day cricket. Are they any value in the Championship 20/1? they were poor last year but obviously so much more firepower now. Can't see the price lasting.

Is it worth looking at Brady for MVP still? Seems to be above 4/1 for him. I personally dont think it should be him. But most I hear suggest him still

Matt Ryan. odds on and should be.

I agree. Just thought it was large for Brady

there is about to be a big exodus from SA cricket, so more counties will be signing more players as Kolpaks

Don't personally regard either Abbott or Roussouw as huge difference makers for a team that went down last year then reprieved, in a division that is massively competitive and now only 8 teams. Part of the problem is pitches at Southampton, very difficult to force results on roads.

the completely solid bet for me is much shorter, hence i haven't put it up this far out

but Notts to win Div 2 at 9/4.

Notts went down but retain the same squad. there is very little depth to div 2. Notts, Sussex, Kent, maybe Worcs, the rest can't win it (Durham have a 48 point deduction in 2017)

because the format has changed to 8 teams in div 1 and 10 in div 2 its no longer home and away in div 2. in div 2 each county will only play four of the other counties once during the season, creating a slight imbalance.

Notts play Durham, Glamorgan, Kent and Worcester once. Then twice against Derby, Leics, Gloucs and Northants, four of the lowest budget teams in the divuision.

Easiest fixture list in the division by far and i think they'll be odds on after the first month of the season

That looks a clever spot Rich, worth a dabble I'd say. Strange to be discussing English County cricket in January.

Man City got a rookie manager to the league and a dodgy keeper.  Simples innit.  In all seriousness how do you know pep will take the FA cup seriously?  He has no previous to go on.  Also on last 2/3 months form Man U are probably a better team than City.  Remember at the start of the season they nearly went off the same price to win the league.

20/1 gone now...tbh as a Hants fan I'll be happy with just staying up properly  Smiley

Good signings as you say.Carbs hopefully should be back after his illness, Vince will be probably be available all season this time. Wood and Topley back to fitness and Dawson should be available most of it.

Might have a little bet on them for one day/ T20 .

13/2 Anderson is with bet victor or stan james, 6/1 elsewhere. tikay can't do either outlet

can anyone get us on e/w?

draw looks very lopsided see above.

3/1 to win a half without MVG, Taylor, Lewis, RVB as above and doesn't have to play Wade or Wright to a semi final

£200 ew at 13/2 put it down to arb on the spreadsheet.  Chiss is no certainty to be his 1/4 final opponent either with Klassen in his section.

Nice work guys  thumbs up......will sort out Fred's winnings shortly.

£850 paid to Fred.

Yeah unless City are a ridiculous price then I wouldn't fancy touching this game. No idea how Pep will treat it (apparently he's excited about his first FA Cup game but that doesn't mean he'll want to go full strength). We don't play again until Sunday 15th but we have a few injuries and Dinho starts his suspension so wouldn't be shocked to see a sprinkling of fringe players alongside the usual suspects. I'd hate for City to be accused of throwing the competition again though Wink

A game where we could win 4-0 or lose 3-0 and neither result would particularly surprise me at the moment.

Agree with that hhy.... City were 1.65ish yesterday and was going to leave alone bet or lay. Gone in at 1.78 and  think thats value because the word is he is going full strength. Biggest City have been this season except at United, Spurs and Liverpool..

Definitely gone with a strong side! #MCFC XI to face #WHUFC: Caballero, Sagna, Kolarov, Otamendi, Clichy, Zabaleta (C) Touré, De Bruyne, Silva, Sterling, Aguero.

In the Big Bash, our pick the Renegades play again this morning against the Stars. Fairly even game on paper. Table is pretty congested so getting a win would push us to 3-1 and we'd be in a good spot.

Sri Lankan Thisara Perera has been named as a replacement for injured Dwayne Bravo, but isn't playing today, he'll make his debut in their next game.

Finch has been dropped from the ODI squad, which is great news. That means he'll be available for the entire competition
