Oldham have scored 13 goals in 26 league games. They draw a lot and have conceded fewer goals than Sheff Utd.

Posh are totally lacking a goalscorer this season and have drawn a load more than usual this season. They've not done well on Tuesday nights for a couple of years, albeit a bit better lately.

The two play a rearranged game on Tuesday night. It will be cold.

Posh are very hard to score against when Bostwick plays in front of the back four. That was the case at Swindon (0-1) after a spell where he was forced into the back four due to lack of bodies. It's likely to be the case again.

I don't see anything other than a 0-0 or a 1-0 either way. Have £30 on one goal in the game @ 4-1 with Hills and a tenner on no goalscorer at 10-1 with the same bunch.

I missed this earlier sorry, was in IT hell

Pascal Wehrlein has been ruled out of today's nations cup on medical grounds after his huge accident yesterday. He has got a few bruises, but he'll be fine. This means that Vettel will be representing Germany on his own.

4:55 PM UK time on Sky Sports F1 if you guys wanted to tune in Smiley

Peter - What does that mean for the bet you put up of Germany winning team? Or was that for the event yesterday?

No disrespect to Pascal who is very talented, but it probably increases the odds of Germany winning. Sebastian doesn't have two bad days in a row, and he's absolutely bossing it today - won 4/4 races and eased through to the semi-finals.

so now it is just based on his results rather than an average of the two (sorry for possibly stupid questions!)

It's never based on an average. They're trying to get wins in their heats. Instead of Vettel & Wehrlein doing two each, Vettel did all four - and won all four too.

It's only easy if you know how it works, no problem asking questions, I could happily talk about motorsport for weeks on end  Tongue

Thanks for the tip Peter!

My pleasure

Anyone who managed to get on at the original suggestions would have made £210 profit on the race of champions Smiley

Wonderful stuff Tal, what a great spot we are now in for Super Bowl.

I shall be able to watch it knowing we are Win-Win. Minus what we lose on the sub-markets, obv.

I never stayed up to watch the Patriots affair, just the earlier game, & to my naive eye, the Falcons looked absolutely rampant.  Maybe the Packers injury woes contributed, or their delayed flight.

I did a bit of googling & Wiki-ing, & discover that Matt Ryan has been with the Falcons since 2008. Has he suddenly improved, or has the Team around him now improved?

Seems to be reasonably paid, too - signed a 5 year contract Extension in 2013 for around 100 milly. Very nice.

What was the debate on the sidelines between Julio Jones & the Coachy bloke about? "Give me the ball & I'll score" sorta thing?

There have been three big changes for the Falcons this season.

Firstly, as Tighty said, they've changed their defense to the system we have seen in Seattle. One of the most obvious exhibitions of that is when a player is running with the ball through traffic, after a catch or just through a run, trying pinch an extra yard or two. One defender will try to keep him on his feet. Another will come in and attack the ball, trying to prise it out of his hands for a fumble. We saw that with Ripkowski. Drafting Vic Beasley has also helped, as a premier pass rusher and a consistent threat.

Secondly, they have brought in and made better use of their receivers. No longer are they reliant on who I happen to think is the best receiver in the NFL in Julio Jones; it's a team effort and defenses can't cover everybody, because you always need a second guy watching Jones. With clever offensive plays and everyone running different routes, it's like a Tony Pulis set piece every 40 seconds. Add to that the best combination of running backs, who are both also excellent pass catching backs and it becomes a mismatch for most defenses.

Thirdly - and perhaps most significantly - is the offensive line. They've for too long been the button of jokes about their revolving door, "after you, sir" OLine, which has left Ryan on his back, play after play. They brought in Alex Mack from the Cleveland Browns (who'd eventually had enough of playing for them), widely regarded as one of the elite centers in the game. Combined with other good recruitment there, Ryan has more time in the pocket to pick his targets and the running backs have more gaps to find all important yards.

It's basic stuff in many respects, but finding the right guys, under salary cap, and getting them all to do the same thing is easier said than done in the NFL.

Jones is one of the more selfless receivers of his class, he's often happy to play the decoy, get 60 yards and the team to win. But on Sunday he was torching his opposite man and wasn't getting looks. One whinge later and he's setting records. He probably had a point, then.

I enjoy the sky coverage of games. Neil Reynolds is just the right level of knowledgeable and I think Jeff Reinebold is terrific in explaining things at just the right level. Whenever he uses jargon, he explains what he means by it straight away. Keeps people interested and engaged.

Thanks Sir Talwise.

As to the coverage, yes, I enjoy the current three male Presenters/Analysts, & they don't assume we all know what things mean - we don't - so they explain it well without dumbing it down too much. That little segment in the studio with the ball, when Jeff took his jacket off, was a bit naff compared to the US coverage, bur it worked.

I struggle to have much warmth or empathy with the Lady Presenter though. Nothing against her as such, but she does not seem to add much to the presentation. There's a sort of rule in TV Sports coverage that there must be an anchor, aka Stelling etc, but Neil could do that very well.

What's happened to Kev Cadle?  I assume he has been up to no good behind the scenes and stepped out of line somewhere. He wrote a book and promoted it and i assume he must have said something in his book to annoy someone.  He has been the SS anchor for NBA/NFL for as long as they have covered it, great at the job, highly paid i imagine for the relatively tiny part time role he always had work wise in terms of the number of days he worked and highly knowledge about both sports and still is the greatest ever coach in UK basketball history imo given what he did in the late 80s with Guildford and London Towers.  It seems a huge downgrade to have this girl anchoring now as Tikay says she isn't the best.  It isn't like KC has moved on for a bigger and better job so it makes no sense at all.

Jeff is great at his role.  Neil could easily be the anchor but i thought he worked better working off Cadle as the anchor personally.

Congrats on the Falcons ante post coup Tal.

Apologies for short notice:

Wetherby 1:30 Rich Man Poor Man

In a weak race, Philip Kirby has this one with Amberleigh House in its extended family. What makes it more of an interest is the fact that Kirby's string (a smallish one) has now hit a vein of form. Two winners yesterday (easy winner in the first at Newcastle, and the second on the sand at Wolver).

Adam Nicol rides, and he has a very good record (16 from 70) at the track.

Currently 25's with Chorals, I reckon it should be a lot shorter, and is worth an EW dart.

Suggest £10 ew @ 25/1

She's just awful. They seem to know it as well and practically ignore most of what she says. She's just Ron Burgundy. Reads what's out in front of her. She said the Jags sent 2-3 in pretty season (in the 4 games they played) Neil and Jeff are good. They're better on there than the Inside the huddle podcast where it's just a bit too much of them messing about. Jeff is especially good, as he's still active in the game, special teams (apparently now defensive coach) at the mighty Hamilton Tigercats, he obviously knows his stuff and the analysis is good from him.

Not quite Sad

Looked like a training run. None paced and never shaken up just jogged round 100 lengths behind them all

Only had a free fiver on it...

Yeah, it was weird - it managed to get tailed off after about 30 seconds, before the 2nd hurdle, which I've not seen before from a horse that hasn't actually gone wrong.

Congrats on the Falcons ante post coup Tal.

On the Thanksgiving Show last year, he gave the other presenters a copy of his book each as a present and plugged it at least 10 times on air.

He was only seen once after that in 2015 and not at all this season.

I assume that he was told not to promote his book on the programme.
