Sky price boost today is

Utd win
Everton win
Stoke win

At 6/1. Surely there's good value in that ?

the treble plays about 5/1

what i would say is that these bets are very popular, thousands do them and they are a huge money-spinner for the firm. occasionally one cops and that keeps people coming back

6.26 on mid betfair prices.

Is this accurate?  Are you talking every sky boost, or just the ones ahead of betfair?  Some sky boosts are always going to be terrible for instance.  A bit like concluding doubles are bad, because most are going to be.

I don't have the figures fwiw.  They could be intentionally targetting games that they think are bad value.  But why not just best price the singles then?

I assume I get just £1 on here for a reason?

Edit.  The last sentence was just a guess.  The real number is £1.25.  Dare say they aren't doing this to make money and it is a genuine promotion.

Most of the bets placed so far seem more like hopeful punts rather than value spots

In the car to the Celtic game. My mate that's diving has a son who plays for Ayr Utd. He's a striker and has been on loan to a non league side but was recalled a couple of weeks back.
He's been in bed ill all week, got a call last night telling him he's starting. No way he's fit (and he's going to tell them he can't start), but they sound a bit desperate.
They play Clyde in the cup today, Clyde are 6
-1, and a bit shit, but it might be worth a flutter.

Recommend £20 for Fred.

Price boosts are usually garbage and limited to tiddlearse amounts too.

When the likes of Sky 'boost' one from Evens to 6-5 for example, you can normally back it at bigger on the machine. They don't give it away you know.

BFSB paying out on 15 runners 4 places 1/4 odds if there is one NR according to Barry Orr (bf PR man) on ATR earlier.

On-loan Motherwell forward Craig Moore and midfielder Robbie Crawford are injury doubts for Ayr United as they host Clyde in the Scottish Cup.

And new signing Farid El Alagui is cup-tied after the striker played in the previous round for Championship rivals Dunfermline Athletic.

i had better put this in inverted commas, as i had to look it up

"On-loan Motherwell forward Craig Moore and midfielder Robbie Crawford are injury doubts for Ayr United as they host Clyde in the Scottish Cup.

so sounds like they are short of options

Ayr United v Clyde
Match Winner
   Clyde   6/1
Total stake   20.00
Estimated return   140.00
Full stake   20.00
Full estimated return   140.00

p.s who is the next Rangers manager?

The fans want Frank de Boer but that's just wishful thinking.
The obvious ones would be McInnes and Tommy Wright but both would require compo and they have no money, rumours of an administration event are gathering pace.
Most likely they'll get an unattached Rangers man in short term, probably McLeish.but in all honesty anything could happen, it's a total shambles of a club.

tough race as you'd expect but i'm keen on wait for me @ 12/1 (14s with if you can get it).

his 3 wins have all been on soft ground and he's won over course and distance. 4th in the county hurdle last season when sat a bit further back than ideal isn't far off the best piece of form in this field and he's 1lb lower today. that was with the first time hood on which he has back on today for the first time this season. disappointed when fav for the swinton hurdle end of last season, but his two runs this season have not been without promise with this in mind.

a negative is he can tend to race a bit keen so we'd hope for a decent pace, and hopefully the hood will help.

not sure on a staking plan, only dip in and out of this thread every so often and it's my first suggestion. should be attacking this race fairly hard though.

I already have them bottom 6 at 80/1 but yeah we'll see how that one plays out, I think it's due in the next week or so.

Has the greatest job in sports writing.  States the absolute obvious every week and says 'recommendation no bet' week after week on 99% of match markets in major leagues which usually go off at vastly different prices to the early shows he says there is no value in then puts up the most obscure corner handicap market as his only bet of the week at Boyles and claims to make a profit every year.  Wouldn't like to live on the actual money he can make from his selections rather than the 'lol paper profits'.

Looks decent mid/wide at Crayford.  Hammering down with snow and conditions look very tough.
