Can we get a quick £25 each way on vettel for the F1 drivers championship.   Early days, but they seem to have one of the two best cars right now.

Plenty of 12/1 fifth first 3 available, though suspect we are hills only.

Think we need to be quick.

Done this for Fred @ 14/1 1-3 1/5

Just seen this on Twitter:

Quote
Matthew Elder‏ @mattelder_ffp  Understand Raith have failed in a request to SPFL to have tonight's match at Ayr postponed due to all 3 of their goalkeepers being injured.

Ayr are between 2.3 and 2.5, are at home, and are in better form than Raith anyway - seems a good value punt?

That tweet is an hour and a half old and you can still get 2.3 with Hills, 2.1 machine. Are football markets usually that slow to react?

Yes.  I wish the loltraders were as slow closing your account though when you take the slow to react price however as they are to change these prices.

A shop run would sort that. Just looks like a bear trap to me. Loan keeper lined up?

Vettel at 12/1 for the title is about right in my opinion. I think everyone in the paddock realises that the Mercedes car is so developed to the point where no-one is beating them. Given how strict the regulation changes are, we're unlikely to see any major shift in the pecking order from last season. That being said, Vettel is the most likely candidate for 3rd place - so we could win some money there Smiley I wouldn't go so far as to recommend it myself though.

Looking forward to more markets springing up over the coming weeks.

They've got a striker in goal. I throw a couple of quid on the kicker thing at PP so the more they win by the more I get... Was hoping for a goal by now!

How much difference does a goal keeper make at that level?  Can't imagine it is as big a deal as people are making out surely?  Assume the guy in goal has probably played in goal a bit before at some point.

Apparently not much difference. 2 shots on target in an hour according to 365.

Ignoring the disparaging comment about level of football, it's only a couple of weeks ago we were betting against Ayr after they were trying to call up an 18 year old striker who'd been loaned out to non-league & had been in bed ill for a week.

Luckily for anyone with a bet on it their new striker scored, 1-0.

This week's WGC event which has been traditionally played for many years at Doral's "Blue Monster" course, fairly recently bought by the Donald in a fire-sale and completely revamped for an alleged $250M. This year however it has somewhat ironically due to subsequent events, been moved to Mexico after Cadillac withdrew their sponsorship at Doral because they figured the POTUS would steal some of their limelight. When this was announced last year the Donald with typical grace said "I hope they all have kidnap insurance".

Cutting to the chase -  this is a course that probably none of these guys has played, it's ~7300 yards long but is at 3000 feet altitude and has tree-lined fairways so straight-hitting and a good short-game might well be the recipe for success this week and the favourites might well be too short due to the aforementioned factors.

My old friend who I refer to as The Nutty Professor, Kevin Na, is in decent form and has the game but despite being a serial top-ten finisher doesn't win often but this is offset by the fact that there's some 150/1 around and this is in a field of 72 runners.

Recommend £5ew Kevin Na @150/1 in WGC Mexico

PS 9/1 top ten looks decent too.

Are there many tournaments at altitude? Which other courses correlate?

I know of the European Masters. Won twice by Alex Noren. Won four tournaments last year on the European Tour. 90/1. I'm interested!
