Sheffield Wednesday, Championship winners @ 12/1

I am going to put this up and see how people feel about it.

The Championship looks very compeititive next season, but we've been here a long time and I think this will be a huge positive for us next season, over the over clubs who still are seemingly struggling to adapt and will have to adapt next season.

This is also our 150th year and our chairman has already made a statement that we will be going for it all over again next season. So I can only see us spending more next season. I think the  money thrown at it will really be significant 7 hopefully can see us into the top 2.

Just can't see where Norwich price comes from either.

Suggest £50.

Booooooooom!!!

Long time in coming, but we got there!!

Top shout Chompy!!

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/40058078

Top work by the Fen Bloke, we don't get many 33/1 shots home.

It was Fred's oldest remaining "live" bet, but even better, it was with BMU, who closed us down subsequently. So it is rather pleasing to say goodbye to Victor with a 33/1 winner.

Has to be said, Chompy is definitely one of the Top 20 Fred Tipsters - might even be Top 10 actually.

i aint no expert at reading throught the data here and its going to be confused by the snp running more than 1 candidate in all the wards but  here is the local results
all the tories got in on stage one of the voting while in some wards its was stage 5 or 7 before the snp candidate got in

http://www.moray.gov.uk/moray_standard/page_112593.html

I'm paying far more attention to trying to get rid of Fluffy Mundell, so bow to the 2 of you as far as analysis - but if the Tories concentrated their votes with only one candidate per area, I'd check the number of other SNP candidates & how they split their vote before taking the first stage results too highly.

tories went from 2 or 3 Councillors to 8 they weren't expecting the all to get in never mind all in on first stage as i say its very close at present IMHO but tories seem alot more vocal than they have been since they were routed out of Scotland in the 80s

Hopefully Teacake understood the point  Roll Eyes

Seems a stubborn old mule that won't go unless he has to, what do you guys reckon?

So basically he needs to be the leader still more than 25% of the time

The machine says they gonna lose  ~93.5% of the time. So 6.5% of the time he is 100% leader at 11pm.

of the other 93.5% of the time you want him to stay on 18.5% of the time to break even at 3/1, basically 20% of the time.

So...can you see him staying on more than 20% of the time if they lose the election, when you consider no-one expects he will win it anyway it seems pretty safe to think he would...all his supporters are still going to back him after the loss, and there is no obvious replacement. There's also the chance it runs late for some reason and he hasn't yet lost it by 11pm.

Where is this bet though, I can't find it?!

Think he will lose, I just have my doubts about him snap quitting though, seems the type that wants to hang on if there is a way....

Was on WH last night.....

you have it the wrong way round

stilll leader 2/9

not to be leader 3/1

http://sports.williamhill.com/bet/en-gb/betting/g/9388974/Jeremy+Corbyn+Labour+Leader%3f.html

2/9 is actually value. now it can't be a landslide he stays on even is he loses and tries to consolidate control of the party. would have done under almost any realistic  scenario anyway

Champions Trophy cricket starts on Thursday. Think Shikhar Dhawan has been a bit under-estimated at 33/1 for top bat. Strong records against his 3 group opponents, in good form and playing for a side that are odds on to make the semi's. A tough market to win, but would recc a small bet on him.
