500-1 Rybarikova through to 4th round 6-2, 6-1 with very few problems. Played some lovely finesse tennis, great range of shots. Into week 2!

This is such a good bet, well done sir.

Great bet indeed.  Good luck.  Would be an incredible final.

I have a little on konta at 66s from months ago too. Was it you that put that one up? Ty if so.

Coco V is looking very strong. Her power game might be a problem for the subtleties and shot variations ofRybarikova if they both get to the quarters

Reuben Neves is an incredible signing for a Championship club. The stats boys have been all over him and he's still just 20. Rumour they're in for Aboubaker too. FFP out the window clearly. Don't see any standout clubs like Brighton and Newcastle this year so Wolves entitled to be well in the mix.

What are the FFP consequences if they don't go up?  An embargo?  Is that all there is in punishment?  Seems worth it if you have money to burn.

Yes, Doobs gave us Konta at 66/1, whereas you gave us the 500/1 affair.

I keep wondering how Doobs was the first to know that Serena was preggers.

Anyone heard from Big Adz, or know if he is ok?

Not posted for 13 days, but did log in a few days ago.

You'll be relieved to know Adzy is fine & dandy, he wrote to me yesterday.

He's been busy spending his winnings from Royal Ascot, where he got the absolute lot. Well done him.

80% chance of rain in Spielberg today

fast car out of position down the grid

unforgiving kerbs

anything out there, to potentially profit from chaos, for us?

Apologies, didn't get chance to post yesterday in the end. The 80% figure is an old one I suspect, weather radar currently at 50% chance of precipitation during the race.

Anyway, there are a few spots for us today:

Race Winner - Lewis Hamilton @ 9/2 with various. He'll start down in 8th, but the Mercedes should have a pace advantage today, and I don't expect overtaking to be a challenge on this open circuit either. Suggest £20 EW 1-2 1/3.

https://www.oddschecker.com/motorsport/formula-one/austrian-grand-prix/winner

Points Finish - Kevin Magnussen @ 7/4 with Betfair. Didn't show it in qualifying, but he does have a quick car underneath him. Did very good work on Friday to hone the set-up. He'll be close to points today based on what I've seen, 7/4 is overpriced. Suggest £20.

https://www.oddschecker.com/motorsport/formula-one/austrian-grand-prix/points-finish

Top Six Finish - Sergio Perez @ 11/8 with Bet Victor. The usual top six have been much more aggressive of late which could cause incidents on this track which is proving extremely difficult with the 2017 cars (we've been seeing spins and slides all weekend), that, in combination with the rain threat, makes this a bet. Suggest £50.

I'd also suggest £10 singles on Sergio Perez (33/1) & Esteban Ocon (40/1) to "podiumvate" should the rain materialise and we get a bonkers race. Esteban in particular is a very good driver in the wet; at least in junior categories.

Lewis Hamilton
Austrian Grand Prix Winner
9/2

Magnussen is 6/4 best. I left it

I would still be taking 6/4 on Kevin. Not so much 5/4 on Sergio.

Like the Perez and Ocon bets.  Hoping they don't hit each other.

Well that didn't go well for the bets at all.

Hamilton's pace was slow in the second stint, Grosjean was (very surprisingly) too fast for Perez, and Magnussen had a hydraulics failure while challenging for points Sad
