Our mentality is poor. Has been for years.

Get a couple of good results and the foot comes off the accelerator. If it is the players to blame once, yes, blame the players. Keeps happening, then sorry, it's the manager.

We also don't have the right person giving directions against the top clubs. Our record against the team's around us is appalling.

Only one person to blame, but I suspect we may get a lucky result in the CL, only to get knocked out later, but it will give AW enough bluster to last enough year, just for the same false dawn to happen again, etc, etc.

Even the diehards must be getting it now.

I was somewhat astonished to discover today that the line-up which was so easily brushed aside on Saturday was exactly the same team - apart from the Ox replacing Santi Cazorla - which thumped chavski 3-0 earlier in the season. Incidentally I thought Ox was probably our best player on the day.

Yah. No one like him since Ramsey decided to be crap again. Ox has the potential but not really seen anything from xhaka and elneny to suggest they are strong enough replacements

Some surprising stats there mate none more so than the 58% possession.

I didn't see any point in harping on about their first goal but the fact that Alonso had concussed Bellerin with his forearm before he headed the ball suggests to most of us that a foul was commited; whether there should have been a card too is a moot point but it certainly weakened if not neutered us as an attacking force afterwards.

Unfortunately I'm also hearing that Hector will probably miss Saturday's game due to the post-concussion recovery protocol.

Top 4 every year, 3rd 2 seasons ago, 2nd last season. CL what, 18 consecutive seasons?

As failures, managed by a guy who is supposed to be past it, that's not so bad. Our expectations are way too high & unreasonable.

Is there one of those chart things for Man United?
