More food for thought from the always thought-provoking Arseblog:
http://arseblog.com/2017/02/bayern-munich-5-1-arsenal-sad-embarrassing/
Pretty much says exactly what I felt about the performance and the future.

Ozil is the footballing equivalent of Graeme Hick.
Looks like the best player in the world against county attacks but a complete rabbit with some genuine pace and quality test bowlers haring in on him.
Ozil just disappears on these nights against quality opposition; must be so frustrating for you Arsenal fans.
Sanchez must despair, a true rose amongst the thorns.
When's Cazorla back? I think you miss him terribly.
Must say I'm getting fed up with all the Sanchez arm waving..get him out

Why does Sanchez get put on a pedestal all the time? He's been awful lately.

Cause he runs around a lot and destroys the shape he's very English, up and at 'em. We English love that

Apart from Wenger who else needs to leave this summer? Ozil, Walcott, Ramsey, Gibbs seem like a given. Ox? Gibbs? Coq? Xhaka??
Man there's a question mark on a hell of a lot of players too.

Quite like Ox to stay, I think he can be quite good. They're all good players when they're on form so the rest can go or sort their shit out, I wouldn't mind which.

Or similar to James Wade in darts in 2017. Never going to drop out of the elite group but doesn't have the scoring power/drive/ambition to kick on any further and quite happy in his comfort zone of picking up easy money without the hassle of really competing. Arsenal have far too many James Wades' in their team for me for years.
Big selfie culture at Arsenal as well which just gives the impression the players are not really that focused on the things they should be at times.

I think it is worth reminding people that during the course of his twenty-year tenure AW has almost single-handedly turned the club into the self-sustaining model which is able to compete* financially with Europe's richest clubs in terms of wages and transfer fees.
He has certainly been the driving force and it was definitely his vision - so I think it is only fair that he should be rewarded in kind for what he has achieved for us. I also think he deserves to spend some of our new wealth in the transfer market until such time as he feels he cannot do the job. Recent results have disappointed all of us but not as much as they have disappointed AW I'm sure.
We have our best squad since the invincibles - I think everyone will agree - so there's no reason why we can't get our season back on track.
We need to all get behind that squad including the manager to make the best of the rest of our season.
Remember that while fans may shoot the breeze supporters support their team.

Looks like he is rewarded in kind, to the tune of £8m a year.

It feels like I am watching a footballing version of Mr Selfridge.
Once great, full of passion and building his dream. Then as he got there, lazy and blaming all his mistakes on everyone bar himself.
As posted.
He gets £8m a year, we owe him nothing more. We are a business that is failing in its core raison d'etre, but will survive for the next few years regardless. However, keep this up and fans will fall away......yes yes, fan and supporters are different, but reality check, if we carry on along the same way the fans will go, so will the money.....Leeds etc etc.
I suspect we do still have a decent bunch of players but they need someone in charge that they properly respect and will motivate them in a way AW doesnt.
It is simple. Get him out, see if a new man can work with what we have, if not start again. As stated so often, we have the money.
But please lets change something, because this is tediously boring

If Wenger goes, how many PL titles would you expect Arsenal to win in the next 10 years?

At least one more than we have in the last ten years.

I don't think Leeds' demise had anything to do with the fans deserting them.

I'd take the under on a 0.5 line personally. I can understand the clamour for Wenger to go as the football has seemingly been getting worse but in terms of finishing positions I personally think Arsenal are right where they should be, if not slightly over performing given their resources. I'd put the line on top 4 finishes in the ten years after Wenger leaves at 6.5.
