I think Arsenal were very good today. Very solid performance and possibly should have won - Lacazette missing a sitter. That said, Chelsea don't look quite up to speed yet. Morata appears to be struggling with the ball on the deck (very good in the air though) and Pedro and Willian look off the pace. What do we think of Luiz's overhead kick to Koscielny's face?

I always think an overhead kick with the player's back to goal(and the offended oppo) there should be a greater degree of mitigation/lenience.

Personally I wasn't expecting a red card - nailed-on yellow - but in the current climate it was a possibility.

I thought Michael Oliver had a decent game today.

Always been a huge Ozil fan but recent lacklustre displays had me entirely pleased when he wasn't in the squad. If we had de Bruyne we'd be champions izzit

Couldn't find a stream for the water-buffalo cup game this evening v Donny so had to settle for radio 5-live extra and guess what - the exponetially dire Claridge on comms

At least we're in front at H-T

All the big teams are winning at half time - Arsenal, Man U, Everton, Chelsea - as well as Man C, so it's Acca City tonight, and the poor bookies might have to give a bit back tonight.

The *ahem* lady lead-commentator on 5-live just said that instead of bringing of one of the kids Arsene Wenger hads just brought on Alex iwobi.

Alex Iwobi(who I rate very highly as regular readers on this thread will know) just turned 21.

Meanwhile, Man City have maybe saved the bookies skins, having conceded an equaliser v WBA.

Potential Accy-wrecker, that.

Apparently Wenger was interested in signing Gareth Barry in 2009 before he joined City. Another one to add to Wenger's ''almost signed'' list, you can make quite a first XI and squad of the players he came close to buying (at least in his mind).

Arsenal field a much weakened team in tonight's Europa League affair. For those keen to watch - everyone, surely? - don't forget it is a 6pm kick off.
