Certainly did Ralph.

And if I'm not mistaken, it came just a few days after St Totteringham's Day?

Surprisingly quiet in here....

Solid start, & young Dowman looks like a bit of a prodigy.

Fun times ahead.

Dowman genuinely looks exciting.

But, before you get carried away:-

Last season, the young Lewis-Skelly looked to be the real deal. Now-out of the team, and looks fragile
Season before, Nwaneri looked the real deal. Out of the Team, rumoured to be looking to leave

Is that the same Nwaneri who just signed a new 5-year contract?

Looking forward to seeing Eze play soon  win or lose

Yes. That's the one.

The one who was promised a bigger role when Citeh came sniffing.

Signed that contract. Hasn't started yet and plays in the same role as Eze

Bayern Munich match report please Ralph.

To my naive eye, Zubamendi (sp?) and Rice are so good, but the real hidden gem has been Eze.

Quite a week eh? That other lot brushed aside 4-1 on Sunday, CL bogey team Bayern thrashed 3-1, and Chelsea this weekend.

Good times.

I was really nervous leading up to the NLD and even watched most of the first half through my fingers and with butterflies in my stomach. Those two goals in the last five minutes of the first half settled me down considerably, and I managed to almost enjoy the rest of the game. I cannot really explain how much these games put me through the wringer. I'm sure other diehard footie fans will understand.

The Bayern game on the other hand, I was totally relaxed about. It felt like a glorified exhibition match with very little at stake qualification-wise, although having lost 4/5 of the last half-a-dozen times we'd played them, there was certainly a score to settle, especially with their #9 who has been a thorn in our side for a decade or more. It was was very pleasing to see us not only measure up but totally dominate them in the second half, as they are one of the top teams in Europe.

Looking forward to putting myself through it all again at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

It feels different this year and I'm definitely starting to believe in a cautious kind of way..
