Last hand of the day - Jake Cody shoves for 7,600.
Folds to the big blind, already in for 3k, remember the antes in the pot and the small blind.
Big blind has over 150k. He stews, the table starts giggling, thinking he may fold.
Flips over 10 2 - a fold.
Table in hysterics, Cody makes it into Day 2.
Correction - big blind has about 280k

While I wait for bag and tag, a big thank you to Herbie today.
He held the fort while I was otherwise detained for the first two hours, then volunteered to carry on for the rest of the day, and put in a big shift for the update.
Top man. Useless updater, but top man.
Much appreciated

Flushy ended up with 13,000
Cody ended with 13,600
The bet they had was that whoever had fewer at the end of the day pay's the other one's £560
Cody won by two antes and is freeroll shortstack ninja tomorrow
Flushy is in for a bag with 4x bb.

Just some context while the chip counts go up
19.2m chips in play
190 odd left, so average for the combined field is give or take 100,000
blinds begin tomorrow at 1500-3000
Play resumes at 12pm
I think the plan was to live stream on
www.dtdpoker.com
from 7pm. Possibly that will be put back as 7pm will be several hours before the final
I believe Simon Trumper and Devilfish will commentate (at least at the start) on the final

Fun day for me. Somewhat surprised the standard of play was not much different to the regular £50s in there
.
Got nothing, hit nothing for most of the day. Some creative moves to keep my stack reasonable, but never really got paid with anything, finally went out with JJ < KK. This was a couple of hands after a comedy non-double up when I got it in with 44 against A10. Board runs out 4 (yay)5,8. 7.... 6. Yes, thanks for that dealer. Sums up the day!
Nice finally saying hello IRL to TK and Tom as well.
Good luck to all blondes left in.

Someone box Devilfish off a few quid, he shouldnt be reduced to collecting appearance fees and commentary wages, the man is a legend of UK poker. These kids should look after him- imagine Scholes and Giggs not throwing a few quid upstairs to Sir Bobby when he hit a rough spot.
