Bob Dylan and U2 for me, to me they have written about 5 songs and just randomly release a diff version of one of them.

Its Bono I think is a twat rather than U2 as such, I like a bit of their music.

... I'll throw the Rolling Stones out there as a teaser.  Shocked

A couple of great tunes - but that's it

Similarly with the Beatles (although they had a higher number of great tunes)

A bit ago my mum and stepdad bought a Beatle's themed guitar hero-y game - it really highlighted the fact that apart from the monster hits most of their output is either badly dated or was fairly average to start with. Everybody under 40 that Christmas (me, my sisters and my nieces) all agreed that it was a rubbish game if you were stuck with only that selection of music  Cheesy

Any Bands/Musicians that I didn't decide to listen to.

Especially in shops, eateries, card-rooms &, (God help us all) the local park.

Had a conversation about this last night funnily enough. My wife (who probably should have married Woodsey not me) generally just dismisses her as a druggie.  I think she was a genius although i am prepared to say it may have been Mark Ronson that was the real creative genius behind "Back to Black" but irrespective an amazing album that many have tried, and failed to emulate.

Agree with most of the others on this thread though.  Never really got the Beatles at all.

Rolling Stones overrated IMO. Longevity yes; consistently strong music no.

Rihanna's popularity is completely beyond me. Add your own jokes obv but her music is just super-tez. Flopping about in a napkin is an admission of guilt as far as I'm concerned. "Don't listen to this bilge, I've got my fwups out!"

Keane. They should play that in antisocial behaviour areas to disperse unruly teens.

For Keane and Ocean Colour Scene see the previous comment on Coldplay.

Frank Zappa and Captain Beefheart.  Genii or proponents of unlistenable dirge?

You cannot whack a bit of Beefheart!

How can you not love a guy that got his stage name like this.

CAPTAIN BEEFHEART
Inspired by a strange Uncle of Don Van Vliet's who would expose himself, squeeze his penis until the head turned purple, then comment about it looking "like a big ole' beef heart"
