Even Mond had it - so called legends who sucked in reality...

lol @ even mond

that's what I was assuming-ish but bombay bicycle club, arcade fire and my bloody valentine had already been mentioned before I opened the thread

meh I read it as it said - groups/artists I'm supposed to like, but don't.  thread title misleading imo.

You're supposed to like the legendary bands/singers - mid-range famous it's not automatically assumed....

Doesn't matter - enjoying thread anyway.

Does Scatman John count?

Pink Floyd.

Oh man, at last, at last - their popularity has always been utterly unfathomable to me.

You too ? Excellent Floyd dissing - however, you're dislike of Bombay Bicycle Club reveals a lack of depth imo

I'm gonna throw Bruce Springsteen in too.  Seems to be a lot of love for him round here.  He's ok, but that's about it imo.

Another one best seen live - no fuss, no fancy effects just the most professional band there is with a great back catalogue & willing to put on a show at least 3 hours long to deliver a great selection from it.

Radiohead post OK Computer.  I've tried, but just don't like the more obscure/abstract sound of their albums from Kid A onwards.  That's not to say I don't like that genre in general (I quite like Sigur Rós and Fleet Foxes for example), I just don't like Radiohead's stuff.

Radiohead is a good call.

A band I'm meant to like is the Manic Street Preachers, I say meant to like because I loved their first three and a half albums, and went to see them live countless times in their early years. But since then I can't even get remotely interested in their stuff. Do they count?
