Ul Neil, genuinely one of the good guys and I know the bracelet would have meant more than the reddies.

Ul Neil, genuinely one of the good guys and I know the bracelet would have meant more than the reddies.

Very much this, I read Snoopy's interview with him on BBP over the weekend and it was clear how much a bracelet would mean to him.

It feels like we should be celebrating a great score but the strange thing is I didn't even check how much he had won, was just gutted for him that he didn't get the bracelet.

vv well played Neil.

Always struck me as one of the good guys and to come so close must be horrible, but as Jase will tell you, second is pretty good too

I'm really chuffed that he found time today to email me personally to tell me about some exciting training videos too

I was a bit disappointed  that Neil didn't wear his black belt poker karate outfit and do a kind of heavyweight boxing contender walk on in it to the final table chanting 'black belt cha cha cha, black belt....then bowing to the camera. Also handing out black belts to the rail and even asking/paying some if the Brit rail to wear the emblazoned  karate outfits would have been brill too.

For the nut advertising tho I would have got that guy in the crowd that seemed to have a bit of an erection every time  he danced to bang a Gong after each hand Neil won, he could then have done a small bow to the camera and given how many pots he won it would have been advertising dynamite.

  FTW

Nothing can hurt worse than 2nd in a braclet event. It's bad enough finishing 2nd at anytime but when it's for the holy grail of poker it is that being so close that cuts you up. Still plenty of time for Neil imo

Whilst I agree with this in one sense I'm sure there are worse things. He has 400,000 reasons to feel better altho obv he ultimately wanted gold
