I hope this works, although I'm starting to question the Defence if they failed during the entire week!

Michael Vick carries football all week to fight fumbles

The issue of ball security has haunted Michael Vick this season. He's taking extreme measures in an attempt to fix the problem.

According to NFL.com and NFL Network's Aditi Kinkhabawala, Vick carried a football with him all week at Philadelphia Eagles facilities, tucking it under his arm at breakfast, in meetings, anywhere a teammate could attempt to knock it loose.

Did anyone force a fumble in the cafeteria or elsewhere?

"They tried," he said.

Vick has eight fumbles -- five of them lost -- in five games. Ball security can be as mental as it is physical, and Vick certainly seems to be fighting it right now.

"Not to put too much emphasis on it, but to continuously remind myself that I have to take care of the football," Vick said. "You want to go out there and make it happen."

Carrying a football everywhere might sound like something a junior-varsity quarterback would do in the hallways, but give Vick points for effort.

Tom Coughlin used to make his RB´s do this, i remember it not going down too well.

Do you think the Eagles will cover the spread tomorrow?

-3.5 is an ugly number anyway and it's one I'll be leaving alone.

I think they've covered once all season, and that was in the loss to the Steelers.

Too much uncertainty with regard to both teams.  Eagles need to stop turning the ball over, Lions need to start firing on offense and defence and are performing much below their talent level.  Hard to tell when either will change.

Jay Touchy Feely makes from 61 yards to tie the game, then misses from 38 yards to win it.

Pretty amazing stuff.

I love the randomness of this season. Cards look like a decent side and then lose to the Rams and the Bills in successive weeks.

What do people who aren't Bills fans and actually know what they're on about (not that the two are mutually exclusive of course!) think of Fitzpatrick? Bills have a better OL than I've seen in the past few years and, although it's far from great, there are some options for him in pass and rush. He seems to throw INTs most weeks and often more than one against better sides.

Should we be looking to change the QB or building better protection around him?

I think when he's got time to throw, he's a top 10 qb.

One thing that struck me watching the AFC teams play this weekend is there doesn't seem to be a good team amongst them, Houston are 5-1 but in a soft Div and just got hammered by the only NFC team they have played. Baltimore have won 4 games against other AFC teams and no other team has a winning record in the AFC.

It probably knocks the NFC's best record, Atlanta's 6-0 record too as 4 of those wins have come against the AFC West and they haven't beaten a team with a winning record. Denver have had a v tough schedule so far so they might be under rated, compare the teams played in their 3-3 record with San D 3-3 and it tells it's own story. Pats D looks a mess at times too.

h2h in AFC v NFC matches so far this season reads 9-19 and only four NFC teams have a losing record at the moment and three of those, Dallas, Detroit and  New Orleans are almost certainly better teams than the majority of the AFC.

Will be interesting to see if that trend continues for punting purposes.

If there is an INT in the end zone and the defender comes out of the end zone with the ball, then trying to avoid a tackle runs back into the end zone where he is tackled... is this a safety?
