I'd be happy to wager a high amount of £'s Blackpools numbers will be down from 2011, however I still think it'll be a great tournament, it's a great place to play poker up there.
UK players are pretty value savvy don't forget, £700 comp £250,000 gte...
which one are you off to Dave?

lol. You being in attendance could tip the balance in favour of either venue. My personal pref would be to have the ukipt in Blackpool. Stars crush Gukpt but Blackpool crushes Bristol.

Why does saying that Bristol won't affect the numbers in Blackpool make my post non credible. Blackpool will be 95% full of players from the NW and Ireland. That's just a fact. Can't see anybody from here making the journey to Bristol. I don't have anything against Bristol or the UKIPT. Hope they have a great tournament.
Fab to have unexplained derisory comments sent to me on my first day here, especially from a "hero" member. Thanks for your encouragement and positive input.
Take it as a friendly welcome to the forum! Any else tempted by the challenge of playing UKIPT Bristol Thursday, GUKPT Blackpool Friday, and high roller in Bristol on Saturday? Could do a night out on Saturday to celebrate our achievement?

I played Blackpool last year, and schedule permitting I will be going to Bristol this year. Only reason is travel time....love the GUKPT and the casino there but it was like 4/5 hours last year for me and just can't stand it.
In all likelihood I will play Bristol, bust that and then drive up anyway #lovethegame

The largest (in participation terms) poker tour in the world is having an event 200 miles away. How can it not have an effect? You seem pretty sure though so lets have a wager, you name the amount but i would like to bet that more than 5% of the blackpool field is made up of players from outside the NW or Ireland and also at least 1 player in the UKIPT Bristol is from the Blackpool area.

i like going to blackpool gukpt, even though the place is a shithole, it still has some weird romance about it, and its always fun catching up with the lads up there. Ukipt will be full of 20 year old virgins devoid of personality or charisma.
Already booked a flight with middy to amsterdam for the masterclassics but i think moorman is making me go to bristol ffs

My preference would be Blackpool too- but I just don't think it'll get the runners

At least 15 coming from North East, mainly for cash and not the main itself, but i imagine people will play sides too
