Hope so bud. Sporting Life chap put him up at 20s. Done him win only. Cover or stick? Was hoping he would be fav after his demolition earlier. Looks unlikey against Wolfie.

That is so so so tilting. Going T16 with your last dart with 80 left is beyond bad, I don't care what your favourite double is.

Would have definitely chucked a few quid at him, f I'd known he was a local lad.

Hopefully Wolfie has just played his final, and he gets you weighed in.

Why doesn't aq player like Robert Thornton switch back to the BDO?

He's vvv unlikely to ever win a major at the PDC even though he's an excellent player.

But he'd surely win everything at the BDO

He will make a lot more $$$ in the PDC ranked in top 10 that he would in the BDO as number 1. To match his earnings (in prize money) he would have be pretty much sweep the boards in the BDO. There is £100k for winning the Lakeside but peanuts for everything else. Thornton has earnt £228k in the PDC order of merit which is on a rolling two years. That doesn't include money won in the GSOD or Premier League both of which are very lucrative.

Darts database has hit total earnings for the past two years as £383k.

That is an eye watering amount of money for a guy who has never (unless my memory fails me) made a major final.

I would probably go and see an a snooker exhibition if the right players were involved.

I played on the the adjecent table to Tony Drago once and to see him, close up, in full flow was completely awesome.

I guess the pockets of a club table seem like buckets to pros and totally relaxed they can knock virtually anything in.

Add a few jokes and trick shots, and it might be an enjoyable night.

But what on earth happens at a darts exhibition that makes it worth going to see?

Darts is basically a very easy sport to master. Just throw 3 arrows into a board.

The idea being a good counter is an asset in darts just shows how simple it is.

What makes it so compelling is how the players can handle the pressure of performing under huge amounts of pressure.

Under zero pressure, why would anyone want to watch, especially as there aren't the personalities like Jimmy White, John Virgo and Ronnie to entertain in the world of daarts.

I was about 12 when Jocky Wilson became world champion and he came to my Dad's works social club for an exhibition evening. My Dad volunteered to do a shift behind the bar, I was drafted in to keep the shelves stocked. Jocky was on halves of Barcardi and Coke, *very* light on the Coke. He'd had 7 or 8 by the time the darts actually started.

First leg he was left with 150. Checked out with three bulls.
