23
I have one final entry for tomorrow but before that we (the mods, as this is a collective entry) wanted to remember some blondes sadly no longer with us, and to think of their families at Christmas.
Entry number 23 is, simply, to absent friends.
This year we, amongst several online poker communities, lost Richard "Warbwastard" Stevenson in May.
Although most of the forum would not have known Rich personally, many knew him as an extremely gifted writer and funny poster both on forums and on his blog
http://www.apat.com/forum/index.php?topic=958.0After he died, his valedictory message on his blog was one of the most remarkable things I read all year
http://la-boca-de-la-cueva.blogspot.co.uk/Over his last few months Rich, who lived with Cystic fibrosis for many years, was descirbed by his good friend Alan Lake as "He had been pretty poorly for some time now, being permanently tethered to an oxygen cylinder for last few months"
Such was his bravery, that very few knew this
Here is Rich, interviewed at the APAT WCOAP

Back in October 2010 at the age of 38 Patrick "Lazaroonie" Tochel passed away. A larger than life man, both physically and in his huge character, he remains much missed by many of us
I am going to link to the Hall of Fame entry and forum recollections by theTank (himself much missed these days from blonde), which was superb

Back in September 2008 Brendan "EricStoner" Hartnett passed away. A real battler, a genuinely nice guy and again, a part of the forum was lost when he left us
I am linking to the announcement of his passing on here in which a lot of memories of Brendan are posted

To the Stevenson, Tochel and Hartnett families, you are in our thoughts this Xmas. We also raise a glass to others that UK poker has lost who weren't on blonde, that we know from on and around the table who are no longer with us.

There is one more entry tomorrow, which I won't follow with any comment so, to all blondes and their families: Happy Christmas and a Prosperous New Year
Cheers.
