So the start of a new month, the main thing about this month is going to be the fitness kick. Had a massive meal last night before i started it today, went to this new chinese buffet place that's opened in Halifax near where i live. It's pretty awesome, loads and loads of food to choose from including lot's of peoples favourite Sweet & Sour chicken
and then they have a section for you to choose different bits of meats and fish and get them grilled up which is cool. We have a mongolian restaurant 5 mins from our house which specialises in that kind of thing. Then you get the dessert section, they have soo many cakes to choose from, an ice cream machine and then the greatest thing at all (not if you wanna lose weight), the chocolate fountain, marshmellows covered in chocolate are so nice and addictive!!
So as of today i'm going on a serious health kick, going to try hit the gym 3 - 4 days a week, i want to ban bread and chips straight away and then ill gradually phase out other foods when we run out of them. I guess the main thing is just to eat less, since starting my new job in January i feel pretty horrible, i'm basically a data input monkey for a web based company (wish it was simple data input sometimes) and i'm sat down all day which with other jobs i've never been used to. Top this off with when i get home from work i don't really go out and have had to stop organising football in evenings because i can't organise it whilst i'm at work. Pretty much at an all time high in my weight, i weight myself in last nite and i guess the best thing to do is say it on here, im 15st 3 which depressed me quite a lot but i was expecting it. Hopefully by embarrasing myself here it will encourage me not to slack off and to really smash this and give myself a new lease of life. The aim is to get in the best shape i've ever been in and hopefully make me a lot less self conscious and a lot happier in life in general.
My first aim is to drop to 14 st within a month in time for the Apat worlds and as a treat, if i manage to lose it i'll treat myself to the main event, if i get to 13st 7 then i'm going to treat myself by sitting in my first ever 50/1 cash game so if anyones around at that time there might be some free money going
. As i said in another post so far i'm planning on going down on the Friday and staying at the Raddison Holiday Inn untill Monday and driving back whatever time me and my mate are both out or both finished railing/playing cash. Really looking forward to it, playing all the side events apart from stud, so razz, 6 max, omaha, heads up and horse. Only thing im worried about is that the live structures for stud based/mixed games haven't always been the best in the past (imo) but i feel like i have probably played more of those games than most people entering so hopefully will have a small "edge". Should be a really good weekend and i can't wait.
On the online poker front i have probably been about break even in cash when i have played recently, i don't feel like i have run pretty well but also made some crappy plays and i need to tighten up. Maybe playing 2 - 4 more tables might help with this and i wont feel like i have to try and win every hand. I am going to hopefully play a few schedules of tournaments in the run up to the Apat's and probably look at a staking request through Apat as i have no where near enough posts here. I'll be playing 1 dollar rebuys and then mostly 2 to 7 dollar tournys with the "big 11" on stars and dailly double (12 dollars) on FT thrown in across 4 or 5 different sites (Stars, 888, Full Tilt, Party and Ipoker). If anyone can reccomend any tournaments that start between 6 and 9 on a weekday evening that have a lot of value that would be awsome
As it is got a list of about 30 to 40 tournaments to choose from across the above platforms and then i'm going to highlight a few that i will definitely play and drop others depending how many tables i have running. I really want to try move up the rankings on Pocket fives (i suck atm) and hopefully have a bit of success.
Anyways good luck to everyone at the tables
