Ill be there, grinding online as I made the mistake of organising a trip to play both live day 1's and making it through on Day 1a online. My mistake was further compounded when I agreed to drive.
Unfortunately the logistics of this torn have prevented me from having a few pops at it. In previous years I have played each day until I got through. This year I wanted to play poker on the Saturday, and wanted a golden chip. I know of others that wanted to save their chip(s), so perhaps didnt enter as much as they might without them. So I have only had one go for Saturday, couldn't do otherwise. I cant be the only one and the figures may well have been affected as a result. Not a gripe btw. Looking forward to playing Saturday but disappointing numbers so far...

blue ace good point and i agree.
if u wanted a number of pops but but won your golden chip early then you kinda shoot yourself in the foot, because once you use your golden chips you then fall back on tokens or cash buyins, dont think it would effect numbers that much though considering doing online does attract people who wouldnt travel monday/tues/wed to dtd. i didnt really plan it well for myself wasting golden chips early doors, now 2nite/2mo i gotta grind it out live

We knew this Grand Prix would fall short because we scheduled the date based on the online being launched in January, giving us an 8 week run up, instead we have had only 3 weeks of qualification and obviously everyone has had to set up a brand new account, anything north of 1500 is a success, last time did this we got 2100 with an 8 week satellite program and 30,000 online registered accounts..................this time we had 3 weeks and 0 online accounts before we started so a little harder!
Cheers Aces

As if the one hour delay on the m1 wasn't bad enough I drive straight in to another 3 mile tailback
2 hours so far on a 55min trip.

Abs understandable, Im personally dissapointed that my 3k(!) prediction wont come about, thought with the new software would see some good numbers. It must be a nightmare trying to sort out and predict and accommodate, etc, etc.

Is this some kind of hilarious practical joke?

I flicked this in and made it through with 15bbs or something. Who's going to be about to comfort me at the bar on Sunday?

29k at first break.
Run into AA three times already.
Lost a small one, chopped a second, cracked the third.
