Westwood would complete a pretty impressive month for British sport (in before someone says Froome doesn't count; apparently his dad is English and his mother's British parents emigrated to Kenya; we've definitely cheered more questionable flagbearers).
I liked Westwood's interview tonight. When asked how he would cope tonight, he said he should be fine, as he was going for dinner and he was quite experienced with a knife and fork. I also liked that he admitted he'd picture himself lifting the trophy at some point but that it would be all business come 3pm.
The margin for error is so tiny and one approach shot going in for an Albatross couls see someone going from also-ran to Champ. Going to be quite a spectacle.

Need to have an interest today so,
Hope to see one of two things happen.
Westwood shows some resolve in a final round and streaks clear
Someone around +2/3 gets on a streak Sned/Day/Johnson/Garcia(all capable of low low rounds) and posts an early final score around -2.
Got everything else wrong so far, so why stop now!

CORRECTION!
55 bogeys, 13 doubles, & 1 "other".
Wow I'm loving the buy at 180, can only get harder. Lets funk for a big tie at 70 players
Good luck today, Flushy. 156 so far, you need 181 I assume.

Pardon the aftertiming, but as I co-Hosted a Golf Betting Preview TV Show, it is only fair I list my Open golf bets.
Kaymer
Kuchar
Grace
Bjorn
Wood (Chris)
It's a gift, a natural talent, to be able to pick selections like that.

There's an old chess adage that finding the worst move on the board is just as difficult as finding the best.

Just had to listen to the Doris on BBC moan about Muirfield not letting in lady golfers.
Nothing against Lady golfers, but this really gets my goat. At our club they wanted full equality, but when it was agreed and they were told they had to pay the same fees as the men, they were up in arms!
I notice her mention that there are many Women Only Clubs, which I was unaware of, so touche BBC Doris, you just scuppered your own argument, me thinks.
I also note that whenever I turn on golf coverage it is fronted by a woman, BBC or Sky....nuff said, rant over, lets get on with the real deal.

She didn't moan once, she posed some excellent questions.

I want Westy to win....Woods slightly better result for me - but live Westy to win.
Perfect result Woods to be Westy, Mickleson places. For savers on Ryan Moore and Molonari.

If Paul Lawrie could replay his first round he could well be leading by six shots.

Have to disagree. She was really quite pointed. As I said, when women set up their own golf clubs they can hardly moan when traditional clubs like Muirfield maintain their stance.
She did make some fair points about juniors, tbf

Not sure that Mahan is a good pairing for Westy. Would have preferred to see him with Woods and eyeball it(regardless of how Woods plays).
We shall see. Excited!!!
