Testing conditions for the ladies at St Andrew's today with only one player currently under par for today's round and that a mere -1 through twelve holes.

It does mean that anyone shooting a sub-par round today will go rocketing up the leader-board. I predict big swings in the 20/25mph wind.

The Old Lady is showing these ladies her teeth.

A few little dabbles matched on huge outsiders rummaged from the bargain-basement so far for oak Hill.

Larry the Larrap Larrazabal @ 1000, Rafa Cabrera-Bello @ 840, marcel Siem @620, and Shane Lowry @ 850.

Also gone for my man Billy Horschel @ 160 and Matteo Manassero @250.

All aboard, ding-ding.

Taken a punt on Rory finding the magic today. I'll be satisfied with -8 in the club house

Is Furyk a decent front-runner? Was speaking to a golfist the other day who said he has him as a bit of a twitcher when the pressure is on.

Is he worth opposing?

ice cream golf generalist here

I had Furyk down as a bad front runner, and maybe dufner too...not sure the technique there is teak tough when the going gets...

Scott and Stenson, happier to suggest they would stay out front if it happened

a writer this morning was offering that there was value outside the top 5-6 because several of the front 4 could come back/implode/feel the pressure

They are a way back but you can see Westwood or Rory(presume they are paired) geeing each other along. If one of them gets a flier, game on and they will get support from the other.

Have felt good about Stenson all week, but now we are there, not so confident. Duff has looked shaky every time he looks like going away. Not a fan of JF, but looks the most solid.

I think Dustin J owes me a very nice car, and he will get the banzai bet.

I don't think you can make that statement about Furyk.  He has won 16 tournaments lifetime including a major.  There is no doubt he has had moments where he has thrown leads away but that can happen to anyone.  It happened to Adam Scott/Rory etc.  At the end of the day there is a lot of variance in these things.  You can hit the water with a drive when you are 8 shots behind just as easily as when in the lead yet everyone that does it whilst leading is labelled a bottler...
