Is any part of the torn played on the pitch itself. Im guessing not and it will be all in the function rooms?

The pitch will have 150-200 tables and there also will be 150-200 tables in the Bobby Moore Suite - in case of some sort of serious weather disaster. It's 100% everyone's intention to play the event on the pitch, under some light cover, we are meeting the company who is making the cover tomorrow. I don't think DTD would have taken this project on if it was not possible to at least play most of the event on the pitch, it may be that it makes sense to bring the event into one of the rooms overlooking the pitch when its down 20-25 tables for a better atmosphere/easier for filming, anyone know the weather forecast for May 31st - June 5th?!

Cloudy and rain.  Chance of snow, probably.

Long range forecasts may go down as well as up. You may lose your home if there is a tornado

Pretty gutted that I cannot play this.Abroad with work, flying back to UK on the 4th of June. However I will do all I can to support and encourage as many people to enter as possible as I make donating trips to The Hippodrome and the Vic in coming weeks. Will deffo head to Wembley straight from the airport on the 4th just to rail and say I was there. Good luck to the DTD management on this. Despite all they have on they are still running a charity month in April at DTD,massive respect for that.

What is the structure for the live day 1's please? 5k starting at a live event with big numbers sounds like a bit of a lottery. The online structure looks fine but converting that to live to fit in 1 day (to get to 10% field) sounds tricky. Do DTD have 10/20 chip denominations at the club? If not decided yet I personally think most would prefer an earlier start with longer levels to offset the stack.

I mean, if they don't have the chip denominations, they just have to make it a 50k starting stack and times everything by 10, dividing by 10 at the end of the day.

How is live going to be a lottery when it will have an identical structure (with longer levels obv)??

Spot on The Atkinator, live Day 1's have always been planned to be 37.5 min clock / 50k chips / start at 100/200. Then divide by 10 for starting stack. 100%, completely, absolutely the same. Simple, and the very least of my problems, please guys, I need web site hits Smiley
Rob do you have any plans to target players at grass roots level ( I understand that Dtd might support some poker league ATM) I was at a charity poker event this week and there was about 40 people and I was suprised to find that despite them all playing home/pub games only a couple had heard of this event. I got cramp writing out the website for these people.

There is also a local pub game that may get 50 runners so will pop along there and see what the craic is and gauge interest.

I have spammed the life out of Facebook  and initially thought I would just be preaching to the converted but it was suprising how many people in the local casino have been asking what they have to do to be involved in the freerolls.

Almost everybody has some sort of grasp of poker these days ( just look at the numbers playing zinga etc), and whilst getting 1600 to ante up €3000 is one way to crack this comp, getting 160,000 people to play a €30 sat skins the same cat.

Jason, you're BACK, err, yeh, defo agree with you, the €30 level is where this is won or lost, would need way to many €2 players and there are not enough €300 or €3000 players. Opinions differ on how many players know about this event, I think its a small %, other tell me everyone knows, either way, over the next 4 weeks, we will be working as hard as we can on awareness. Welcome back, take Aarron with you next time please, he for sure needs a break - soon. Loads of stuff happening at moment, grass roots will be targeted for sure.

Cheers Rob

Rob, I think a lot know about it, but not many understand it or know exactly what it's about.

Needs the right message to get to the right people. Those who aren't likely to part with more than £30 or so need a different message to those who are likely to buy directly into Day 1 or even Day 2.

I think the message that goes out needs to be simple to understand and pass on. I was telling someone about it the other day, and couldn't really convey all the details and so my message was a bit garbled. He was interested in it though and was going to tell his friends as well. Not sure what he's going to tell them though as it could be a case of Chinese Whispers.

The more I read about the details the more excited I'm getting, like when I was 10 going toys r us!!! Smiley)))
I'm certainly playing feeders and day1s at dtd though main buyin is way off my budget.

Have you considered billboards rob? I know seeing them driving past would turn alot of head!! ( hopefully not too long crash!!!lol) also it would give interest to alot of people who have the cash but not the poker connections to find out about it. They may be expensive but havin some around football stadiums would be a great idea to get it out there! Smiley

Need to get myself in the 300 and final table to fund the wembley,
keep up the good work Smiley
