Very interested in what Mr O'Meara is up to today.

He has put Doc Hay in the Temple Stakes. He was well beaten by Sole Power et al in the Palace House last time. He was however hampered at the start and then had no cover, but ran on steadily to his credit. He was however behind stable mate Elusivity who finished a noteworthy 6th on his first start for stable.

Now today we find Doc Hay in the Group race and Elusivity is back into handicap company(sadly vs Bogart, who he beat comfortably at Newmarket. Gives 4lb for 9 lengths). Seems to me Mr O'Meara has one of these in the wrong race. I fancy with a bit of money for Elusivity, a saver is in order?

Ha, you & me too. I backed all the others & missed that bugger. But no matter, I'm just pleased he has got back on the winning trail.

Because he only backs long-shots, you just have to be patient & accept the losing runs. The occasional 10/1 shot pays for a good few losers.

sort of day were you could do your brains with views in lots of races

3 bets for me today

14:30 CHESTER MODERNISM   20/1    general 1pt win
This is a weird handicap, if you had not told me the distance i would have guessed this is a 7 furlong or mile affair with at least half of the field not proven over this trip.

The bet does not look to be in form, however watching the last run again here it patently hated the swampy ground fallon took the horse wide throughout and the horse was quite harshly knocked a couple out whilst still battling away.

With so many having stamina doubts at 20-1 a small bet is in order.
15:05 GOODWOOD COUSIN KHEE    5/1   1pt win general

Competitive race but dont think many if any of these are ahead of the handicapper, this horse surely is a raise of 2lbs for a fairly easy win last time is rare and i hope it can take advantage is this.

14:20 YORK ADDRESS UNKNOWN    7/2   2pts win general (hills just gone 4-1)

Improved for the trainer switch last time, i dont really like the favourite despite the form of the stable (its uk form last year is nothing special) and address is more solid to me. I also have a slight doubt the favourite will stay.

Yep, only need one to pop up and you're freerolling.

No pressure today horsey, Chester Modernism to hose up and we're all gravy  thumbs up

Roffle! They never learn.

Here's one...imo J K Fanning is the best front-running jockey we've ever seen in this country.

Obv names like Cauthen are gonna get thrown around but I'd take Fanning any day.

Sole Power my nap today.

5/4 is stingy. Must have taken a lot of money.

Lovely to see the Native come back aftertiming, but think Swiss Spirit will be the horse that gets the money rest of the season. Lost loads at start.
