Interest that Dolphin Rock seemingly runs in the first despite being pulled out two days ago with a self cert....

1.55 York
Stomachion   8/1
Pearl Castle   11/1
Chancery      12/1
Thought these were all good e/w, though down to 17 already  Sad  Had trouble discarding a few at higher prices, Xinbama, Dolphin Village and proud Chieftain, but got to draw the line somewhere.

Some interesting views gents.

One won't bet because of changing conditions, and thinks its a tricky spot to find winners. Fair enough. But will back someone elses opinion.

The other has backed it win only because its a bad ew race and then its a very good ew bet.

Magic mushroom day? GL chaps. Wink Wink

FWIW it was terrible when I looked last night.  Fifth 123 with best price 10/1 vs 12.5 on the machine.  I checked after I had written and realised it wasn't any more.

Of course I have still f'd up, because I had it in my head that there was 10 in this so each way was fine, but there are only 8.  Hence another reason I we should be win only.   Hopefully we get good and there is no reason for anyone to pull out.  Apologies Tikay if it goes 7, really should have realised.  (Though if we wait we may get 8/1 and a fifth).

Anybody having a good meeting?

High Jinx stood out to me as well, but the only slight reservation was with the ground as he seems to have run almost exclusively on soft and good to soft for some time now, though he was fine on good earlier in his career.

I backed Pale Mimosa with WH mobile cos I'm greedy and seems like not a lot between her and Cavalryman. She could even be in season and put Cavalryman off his stride, for all I know!

(No not having a good meeting - thanks for asking  Smiley )

Some places were 1/4 odds, some were 1/5. Sj was 1/4 and I think 2 more were.

13:55 - Dolphin and Lahaag in the first, with a saver on Adz's.

14:30 - Cavalryman in a trixie with Wigmore Hall, and Bragging last night.

15:05 - Absolutely so

15:40 - Backed Rangali and Take Cover AP, and have chucked a few quid on Stepper point and Astaire today

16:20 - Not done anything here

16:55 - Adz's and Halation

Thought Tadalavil was worth a chance at 16-1 4.50 Newcastle, seemed to me to be running on well on his last couple of attempts at 5f before a poor run last time over 6f up in class on soft. Had a small e/w bet.

Can't resist having a couple of quid ew on Glen Moss in the 3.05.

I was really taken by its win at Haydock over 7f on good ground, conditions that he has here. He almost got there too soon that day and tempered the of the masses for the run. Since then they have tinkered about over six and seven in varying conditions but at 25-1 and one of the top rated here i thought he would be worth a few quid on.

Must confess I have also had a bet on Rerouted in the race, who looked like he was starting to get the hang of whatever Mike de K is teaching him, when he ran at Salisbury a week or so back.

Aww, poor Posh Bloke.

I actually proposed to NC on Wednesday (true story) after he tipped the first three at lovely prices, but he turned me down.

I won't ask him again, he has had his chance.

Hang on. Did I just back a winner?

Stewards surely?
