Jackies Solitaire looks v big at 33-1 on 365 for those that can get on.
Won a couple of chases but although jumps well she is quite small. Back over hurdles with Honeyball horses back in form, she may not win but should get a run and I would be v surprised if she goes off much above 16s, especially with Aiden on board
NB, expect a bit of a gamble on Angles Hill in same race. 10s at mo, prob a fair bit shorter later

JS best price now 20s, and as low as 11s with Laddies and Hills.
Fingers crossed.

Thanks Adz, great spot (you're not talking to yourself, honest) I also had a small bet on Urcalin at 22's this morning - 16's best now

Best price 12s. hmmm. Reckon Henry Rix is reading Blonde?!
Im not keen on celebrating just getting the price right, for it to be anything of substance, we need to realize some cold hard cash.
Fook the value pie. Show em a clean pair of hooves Jackie!

Well, that was pants!
Jumped a little awkwardly to start, but no excuses.
Couldn't have picked the winner in a million though!
Onwards!

Didn't see the race but unlucky. Good call on the price, sometimes though I'd take winners over value

Yeah this is true, so why is "value" and " long term" all people talk about. When your having a bad run (referring to me) both of these words really get my goat although when things are good I seem to use these words myself! Anyway, back to finding value for the long term.

It's effectively the same answer when someone comes up to you at a poker comp with the opening line "You won't believe what just happened to me"
"Sir, sometimes ace king does beat aces. It is rough when it happens but you have to accept it's good that you're getting it in ahead because you'll win in the long term by making better decisions than your opponents"
He then tells you it was a £50k pot and you sheepishly register the 5k guaranteed comp you turned up for.

Very keen on Maureen in the 2.40 @ Donny.
Backed her several times last year where she travelled well in top flight races, and didnt quite see out the trip at Championship speed.
The drop in trip looks the sensible solution. She has won on her seasonal debut last two years and is probably the only horse here open to any significant improvement.
As it is she is best in at the weights/ratings and despite her being with Hannon, I suspect the only reason she isn't half these odds is because we have Keiron O Neil(Hughes in Dubai) on board.
Would be very surprised if this wasnt won by one of the top 4, so at 6-1 think a chunky ew bet in order.
£75 ew @6-1.GL
Over in Dubai, I'm having a good old sentimental afternoon, where I hope a couple of old favs can do the business at mahoosive odds.
Gabriel has the booking of Hughesy in the Group 2 Godolphin Mile 1.10. Looks a great booking, as he should be tailor made for this hold up horse, following a year of Spencer up top, trying to do what Hughesy does best. Interestingly Fahey is also in Dubai to supervise when he has a fistfull of big chances at Donny. Cant resist some firty free to one here .
My fav flat horse Mount Athos is also in action in the penultimate 5.17 Sheema Classic. Bit of a globetrotter who hasn't quite gone as far as I hoped missing out several times in top races, but a promising pipe opener in the Dubai City of Gold 3 weeks ago. It was run in a slow time which wouldnt have suited this thorough stayer. With "Frank" jocked off in favour of Fallon I am feeling optimistic. 20s available and may as well chucking in an ew double.
No stakes recommended as I know have have my Dame Edna glasses on as I write this.

This is a massive Noobs question but with the official Flat season beginning today, do only wins in the UK count towards the Flat Jockey championship? I assume Meydan results don't count.
