Very very hard to see the old boy GENERAL TUFTO out the 3 in the first at Southwell imo

Was a bit interested in Shamiana at 14's this morning but not now at half those odds.

If one of the proper firms goes 11/2 ill be having a small eway interest in the old boy

Watching brief for rest of the day and hope that Brooky can fluke a win later in the Vase.

Looks like a bit of a move for Roger Thorpe, you think this is just e/w money Horsey as the fav still seems pretty solid.

Yep won plenty over the years but now seems happiest just following one home

no damage done looks like a small touch landed

I remember backing him last year around xmas, and he almost paid for it!

Won next time out, but it was more a paying for dinner price Smiley

Weary of backing Ektihaam had my fingers  badly burnt when he slipped in the Hardwicke.  I really thought he looked a top prospect last year.  But he then rand badly in the King George. Might be a bit soft in the head.

I think I like Noble Mission best, but put off slightly by the draw.  I know yesterday the low draw never played as big a part as we all expected.

Kinda gutted on the placepot so far had it not been for the first race let-down I'd have 6 live lines with 2 races to go.

Smallish winner with the lucky 15,  2 winners and a place.  Couple of random punts at Newton Abbot and Southwell and I'm winning very small.

I need to sort out my staking plan though.

Unlucky mate, but profit is profit Smiley

I didn't do much today, but still knocked in a few quid.

I backed Strictly Silver last night at 20s, so was happy to see money for it, and then happier when Adz says he is on too!

Did a trixie last night with Telescope-Orchestra and the nutjob that pinged Hanagan just now.

If I had waited until this morning, I would have swapped Telescope with NM due to the weather.

Another day tomorrow, so hopefully the pin can sharpen up this evening...

What's a staking plan?

3 small bets for me today.

3.05 Lingfield

This is not my usual sort of race i would bet in but when a horse i have had notebooked for a while is 11/1-12/1 i have to get involved.

Horse is DJINNI pretty sure she will need a mile to be seen to best potential and this race is full of more unexposed animals who could just be better. She has been dropped 5lbs after flopping last time but im sure she could progress to a pattern filly in time. Obviously a lot of these could be better than handicappers and with the distance doubts just a small bet.

Like two in the 3.50 at Chester one obvious one, one not so much.

VERSE OF LOVE usually runs a good race, has a plum draw great running style for Chester and has ran well despite being hassled for the lead on both starts this season. A less obvious one is LORD OF THE DANCE was some mean feat to win six times last season and by the end of the season had not surprisingly had enough racing/ risen to high in the weights.

This is a nice drop in grade and back to turf and is now down to a mark it could win from again, conditions no problem. At 33's ill take a chance he can surprise again like he did so often last season.

So three small win only bets for me today, good luck all.

Channel 4 Racing at Chester - at least you get The Specials to play out as the credits roll...
