Someone put this up a while back I think, but anyway, I think today is the day.
Born To Surprise 5.10 Ling. Can get
on Sky, but not for long I expect.
I'm sure Fred will be rolling in it by then and celebrating wildly, so get on now!

Strictly a for those that can bet.
Muwarry is 14s with Racebets for the French 2000G at 2.45. Its around
everywhere else, which is about right.
Its inexperienced but looks a horse of real potential. At 14s its worth a bit ew.

Just a question of keeping your eye out for the right race mate. Wouldn't have kept an eye on it if you hadn't pointed it out a few races back.

The 3.40 at Musselburgh is an interesting contest tommorow.
Reason for looking at this race is you have nearly 50% of the early market taken up with Fly Solo and Merchant of Medici.
Fly Solo has a maiden win from 14 career runs. He has been beaten at short prices fairly regularly, can win and Swinbank is obviously in really good form so may start even shorter.
Merchant of Medici is similar but has an even longer losing run to overcome not winning since 2011.
Both can win but would not be the most likely winners of any race.
Latin Rebel is next in and is a maiden for Jim Goldie, Love Marmalade has been backed already early after a fair re appearance for A Whillians after joining from Johnston.
I dont like backing horses that have left MJ to return to form and a mark of 75 is no gimme anyway.
I like three in here (ouch) to differing degrees.
The main bet for me is MUSIKHANI at 14's for Phil Kirby. Still lightly raced ran two fair races for Andrew Balding last season to a mark of around 70. On debut for Kirby ten days ago ran very very free and had no chance after that. Hopefully they have learnt from that and the horse is now ready to run her race.
She may just not be very good but at least she has some potential progression in here unlike so many of these.
PHASE SHIFT has done ok for Ellison over hurdles at a lowish level slowly progressing to a low 120's mark. Not taken at all to novice chasing last two starts so returns to the flat on a mark of 57.
Not thrown in but the form of her Catterick claimer win just over a year ago would get her involved here and she has improved slightly since that win over hurdles.
The final bet is someone i rarely back and thats Mark Johnston. CHAPERELLA is a maiden who came from France and was beaten 22 lengths on debut for MJ ten days.
Hugh Taylor recently commented that MJ's handicappers beaten 20 lengths or more are worth following as mad as that sounds.
It would never be a positive but a horse being hammered in his stable and then winning next time out is much more common than any other trainer. Unexposed could be hopeless but im chancing here at 16's.
Smallish bet on Musikhani at 14's
Two even smaller bets on Phase Shift and Chaparella.

Do well to get a race more wrong apart from opposing the two non winners never mind.
Jumps one from the notebook tomorrow
Sedgefield 2.50 One For Hocky
Had a very small bet at 7/2 early but if any bigger appears will have some more later.
Takes the now usual route of trying in nh flat events and even winning one before three runs in novice events were not put into the race. A mark of 84 almost certainly underplays his ability and with the first time hood they have the excuse lined up.

Today could see a parting of the ways between a mismatched couple.
My relationship with Elusivity has been a one street, and akin to me falling in love with a what looked like a beautiful woman who continually lets me down, but I keep asking her back and paying for holidays, cars and expensive meals, but getting nothing back in return.
And so it is since I started following Elusivity a few seasons ago. He looked like he was about to become to become a great sprinter, putting up performance after performance of immense promise, but always, not quite getting there, being badly draw, or the ever popular excuse "unlucky in running". He has been through 3 trainers during our time together and I have started to pass him over the last couple of runs and I felt the spell had finally been broken.
Then last night I see he has been drawn down what appeared to be the golden strip on the near side of the middle of the course at York. Bugger. Peter Crate had always said that he would take 4/5 runs before he had a target for him. Gulp. Then I notice his only run at York over 5f was one of his best. Oh shit. He also has my fav hold up jockety of the moment on board in Shane Kelly.
Last chance matey. Plenty of 12s available and even some 14s on Betdaq, but I expect that is peanuts. Will probably be the end of an era, but the stars may finally have aligned the either kill or cure me of this obsession. GL, or just wish me luck, I understand I could well be going in alone!
