Nice work, thanks for Swordbearer Adz. We just need to get the fav beat in the last at Kempton now, or is that too much to ask?    I'm taking it on with Willly Brennan (11-1 at lunchtime) and  Taquka after the discussion on TFT.

I backed Meritocracy at 33s. Been running just in behind in some reasonable fields and hoping he can be the one. GL

Bloody Hell Simon.

Think you should set up your own Betting Line! 50-1 and 33-1. What a star!

Sadly stuck with my own 33-1 shot that traded at 1.66.....

obv backed yours as well lol, thought you had it a furlong out.  Don't know if it was valid or not but I looked at a website that suggested high drawn horses were not as disadvantaged as the commentary suggested - so looked to pick a couple on that basis.

Stupendous stuff, sir!

You can thank me now for not backing either of them.

Draw important but not as much as it is sometimes implied, certainly not a Chester situation.

You WHAT?

Oh my word, well done Simon.

You could punt horses every day for the rest of your life & not repeat that feat.

Congrats.

Initially I struggled for a bet, but a race which has a couple of friends Mr Manaman and Thatcherite, forced me to have a good look.

Mr Mac after a long time in the wilderness(much like his trainer) has suddenly come good, and wouldn't surprise me if he went on to win 5/6 over the next few races. Thatcherite keeps finding too much trouble and looked uncomfortable here last time with a good draw. Hemmed in on the rails was always going to be an issue for a hold up horse, before anyone asks...
Could be ok today with a wider draw to choose where to settle and come late.

However, in Mr Macs second last race Haajes, now 10(eek), ran a promising race. After getting slightly baulked early doors, he finished about 3.5l behind MM. Now on much better terms and Graham Lee on board(instead of Shirley Teasdale), whereas MM carries over 10st with Kevin Stott now replacing Adrian Nicholls, I see this being much closer.

The cincher is that Haajes has a very good record round the 5F at Ponte.

Lots of ifs and buts but @10-1 1pt ew Haajes. GL

The Brighton Mile looks a fair renewal this year.

Fancy a couple small win bets here at big prices not an each way event.

SWORD OF THE LORD bit of 20's around thats tempted me not been with trainer long and has form on soft ground over this c and d, needs to bounce back.

Even bigger price PICENO at 33's, had no chance in a good race at Chester last time drawn 11 and ground to quick. Loves soft ground will race up there and can win from this mark.

The ATR pundits will be banging on about a low draw being key, over this trip on soft ground that is rubbish both of mine are drawn wide and with the riders like to stick to the stands side late on they should have the advantage. Whether either are good enough to hold on from the unexposed favs is doubtful but thats why they are 20's+
