The missus is going to Chester tomorrow night for work - her company is entertaining some clients. Do any of the brains here have any tips she can try and impress them with, as my knowledge is sadly lacking, and hers is a lot worse than mine!!

If she is going tomorrow night then she has missed it!

Jenny Powell is on the consistently unlucky Athletic in the third. Her fem touch may help to coax it home.

Charlottes Lad should also follow up. GL

She's done brilliantly since her days on Wheel of Fortune.

Wear a tie if you going in the expensive bit otheriwse u won't get in even if you have a jacket on.  I found this out myself a few years ago.  Assume it's still the same rules.

Had a very quick look at Chester and if I had to have a bet, would go for:
2.00 Manshaa
2.30 Guilty - Think there's better value at 3-1 than with the 5/6 fav since there's little to split them on speed ratings
4.50 Erroneous
5.20 This was the only race I had even a remotely strong feeling about and would back both of Belle Bayardo and Mime Dance win only. I fancy something held up to come late and nick this.

These come with a huge wealth warning and I won't be backing any of these myself - they might do better than a random pick but no g'tees. Sorry I couldn't find something to be enthusiastic about.

I know I'm setting myself up here, but it's Friday and for a bit of fun I used http://www.random.org/  to make a random pick in each of the races to test my hypothesis:

2.00 Gabrial The Viking
2.30 Mythmaker
4.50 Mambo Rhythm
5.20 Le Laitier and Prime Exhibit

Good Luck.

Interestingly enough I have just been told to have my max bet on Mythmaker at Chester today, not so much based on its a certainty, but the value it represents.

Be warned, but be lucky!

Shybet 1/4 4 places on the 1.40

Top price on a few, I've gone for Bronze Maquette.

Good spot, Mind of Madness seems good too.  Pity they don't lay much.

1.40 I will of course be rooting for Moonraker and had a small win bet last night at 9-1, bit put off by Moore sounding lukewarm on his chances. no points invested here.

2.10 Doncaster  2pts e/w Elidor  8/1 4 places B365/Ladbrokes,  3 pts win Adventure Seeker 9/2 generally - even better with Money back 2nd or 3rd Paddy Power.

Unbelievable end to first race at Donny. Cotai Glory well clear unseats rider 4 yards from line.

Obviously the random picks run out a ready winner,  3-1 and 7-2 winners delivering a £3.50 profit to level £1 stakes...
