Hector Crouch rides Gaelic Silver in 3.40 Ling today 4-1, looks to have a decent chance as a C&D winner. Don't think there's massive value at the price but don't think it can be too bad, especially if like me you think HC is adding some value. Backed into 7/2 in places

Adz/anyone ? would be interested if you have any thoughts on The Package @ 25-1 e/w for The Becher Chase. Ran and jumped creditably for a long way in last year's National and racing style should suit.

One of those few horses i could never be objective about I'm afraid mate, having been on the wrong side of a few beatings early doors and then jumping on board when he gets stuffed.

Will be forever funking against him, talented as he is. Those around the same weight I would rather be on the potential of Just A Par or Green Flag, however course experience is invaluable.

I wish you luck Sir.

Thanks Adz. As you know I've often been guilty of betting first and asking for advice second ! I have to own up to having had the minimum already on him for an interest, but I shall leave it at that. Some cracking racing to enjoy whatever the result, good luck.

Decent racing from sandown today with solid backup from exeter. 1.55 should be hugely informative as four of the best potential novice hurdlers go head to head. 1.20 was pretty epic four in a line over the last. (bet the handicapper had a cheeky one in celebration).

Unfortunately Saphir du Rheu put in a very nice round (as Id backed horizontal speed and nobody wants to see SDR chasing)

That cheered me up a bit. Here's a free tip - if you're on a brutal diet and feeling a bit down, probably best not to watch Masterchef !

Or watching US sports, where every other advert tells you that it's possible to feed a small country for about $10!

Think Desert Strike is a good example of front running winners being undervalued as discussed on the betting lab programme. All the commentary after was talk of a soft lead given away/eyecatchers making ground from the rear, but DS ran a decent time.  Wish I had ignored the drift in the market and topped up at 16's.
