Going to have my minimum stake e/w (I know the race isn't great for this) on Native Explorer with Gavin Sheehan on board at 40-1 12.20 Uttox.
Being a Kayf Tara and likely to go on the ground, bit of a lottery but you never know. Similar angle to Gilnockie yesterday, which I didn't get round to backing.

In same race, on same basis will keep an eye on the market for Broome Lane - maybe more of a chasing type? and Katarrhini - a little short for my taste at current 14-1

Beaten a long way as might be expected, but not far out of the frame in 4th

9.10 Dundalk I want to oppose what looks like a very short fav in Elusive Laurence. Admittedly she's gone close last couple of times over 10f, but on all known sire form shouln't improve for step up to 12f. Will take Headlong @ 8-1 with BetVictor 1pt e/w
Sparkling Ice Lingfield 13:30 1pt e/w 16-1 various, try and get best odds g'teed
The Hector Crouch Fan Club is in action today. he's on Meddling Lingfield 15:30 sadly the 6-1 available last night has disappeared. currently 9/2 and don't see much value at that price.

I felt strongly enough about Elusive Laurence to lay it, which I rarely do. Frustrating that it got home by a neck in a race run nearly 8 secs over standard, being allowed to dictate the pace.

The novice chaser I've been most impressed with so far this season runs at Newcastle tomorrow.
Three Kingdoms jumped the big fences like he'd been doing it all his life LTO.
This is a weaker race and anything above 1/2 will be fair IMO.

2.20 Newcastle Grey Area 1pt e/w 16/1 Has won over further on this course on heavy ground, seems a decent price if we assume stamina will be key in these conditions.

Meh. Bit disappointed really.
Didn't jump nearly as well as he did at Leicester and the pre race drift was alarming.
Looked like winning half the track on the home bend but ended up scrambling home.
Thought he might be a live one for the Festival, not so sure now.

Maybe I underestimated the opposition.
Ifandbywhynot was decent over hurdles, just his two previous attempts over fences weren't very good.

Ifandbut did us a favour on here last year, and I was keen to see him go right handed on a flat track. Sadly I was on a plane so missed the chance to spunk some cash!
That Kingdoms beat him giving him a good chunk would mean his is a decent prospect.
Mr Fergy seems to be getting the placement of his decent animals a little better this year, and I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him run well off a nice weight in the GA
