Must imagine bookmakers are cheering Rock On Ruby to get beat here.

Every man and his dog will have done a Lucky 31:

Hargam, Champagne West, Blaklion, The New One and ROR.

Not quite Dettori day, but still will take the months profits

A big day ahead for the Adz ante post book, with Hargam and Champagne West both making appearances and Im looking for both to enhance Festival prospects.

A couple of us here have Barrakilla at 20-1 in the big one, but not sure if ground gone against us.

ROR looks a price back over a more suitable distance and I hope this is another step on the way to a World Hurdle tilt.

Would suggest a couple of very speculative quid on Classical Diva on the sand. Recently taken over by Mr Apples, it ran a promising first time out race and then flopped earlier this week, but its turned out again quickly with Hayley on, and I can see this being a bit of a gamble, based on Apples m/o. I may be a race too early but at 11s/10s, worth pointing him out.

Enjoy. GL

The only way Rock On Ruby stays 3 miles is in a horsebox.

They should dodge the festival and be fresh for Aintree.

LOL. I refer my learned colleague to my previous answer. On ground he didn't like and in front on his own for a long time, looked to be dossing to me. Get 3m no probs.

Are people really stupid enough to waste money doing Lucky 31s on predominately sub 2-1 shots??!! Never understood that. Trebles and upwards, should be the min starting point for that bet.

Not completely stupid, favourites have a better record than any tipster. And Lucky 15s/31s have decent bonuses.

I reckon those 5 winning will take 7 figures out of the bookmakers satchels.

Think there's worse 25/1 shots than rock on ruby for the world hurdle , doubts about the fav, Annie power likely to go for the mares race. Loves Cheltenham, lots in his favour imo

Fair point.

Would be interested to see how, for instance a £1 Lucky 15 Total bet spread evenly as Trebles/Fours and Acca weighed up for total payout purposes. ie £31 on each. Include bonuses etc.

One for Doobs, methinks.

Slightly off-topic, but the bookies took a pasting on horse racing yesterday afternoon, with 72% of races won by 1st or 2nd Fav, & 42% won by the Fav. And then got it all back in the evening, when results went the other way, just one winning favourite. The great mass of punters, "Joe Public", loves betting shorties.

The Joes I know love a shorty but they love a 'worthwhile' payout even more so 'have' to put them in accas. Football ones, I almost never hear them talking horses, and where the layers bet to 2% but by the time they've had their eightfold they're betting to 256%. [Doobs please check, ed.]

Going to have 1pt win on Billy Cuckoo @ 6-1 looks a tricky customer but shown improved if modest form latest and appears will be better suited going left handed. (Definitely not one to go mad on)  Better available on exch if you can, and PP money back faller on this race

I've got a share in King Rolfe.

Been a nightmare recently, he was a point to point winner in Ireland beating Times Remembered who has a decent record.

Long story, but after winning nicely at Stratford last season he fell apart with all sorts of problems and had a breathing operation to correct a soft palate problem which was thought to be causing him to run out of steam three quarters into races.

This season has been horrendous until today. He fell at the first fence two races ago, didn't start last time (just unlucky) and the horse box broke down on way to Bangor for his last proposed run so he was withdrawn.

He's got potential, by kings theatre and wasn't cheap so fingers crossed he's turned a corner.

Had a decent bet on him today so nice to see a return after the problems.

I should add that Tim Vaughan trains him and to put it bluntly I'm not a fan and would move the horse if it were just my choice but fair dos today, he produced for once.
