I am hoping that we see the next Gold Cup winner today up at Carlisle Cheesy, but I must confess I was very very taken by Road to Riches performance at Down Royal.

Ok, it was early season fare, but he ran them stupid at the end, and the further he goes the better he looks, with his jumping getting better than ever at the end.

He also lost a few lengths at many fences when jumping left. Not a problem at Cheltenham.

By close of play we shall have seen most of the protaganists and I have invested a bit ew on R2R at 25s. GL

Hopefully, with our portfolio of R2R, Many Clouds and Silv Conti, we pretty much have the GC covered! Wink

So with only really the Irish Henessey to go as a real Gold Cup trial, our portfolio looks to be in as good a position as it can be, with the first three favourites and some amazing value.

Silviniaco Conti, advised as a double @20-1, now best priced 3-1

Road to Riches, advised at 25-1, now 8-1

Many Clouds, some of us have vouchers at 90s down, now best priced 10-1

Not bad for a free service!

Today is a massive day in Ireland.

I said to bobby1 last night, I was amazed at the price of Clarcam in the Irish Arkle. As the victor over Vautour, I suspected he would be clear second fav. I am not yet convinced by Un de Sceaux and 9/2 looks v big.

I fancy today could be the day could be the day, Jezki overturns The Fly in Ireland, with his progression towards the Festival being stepped up and the drying ground, it seems sacrilege to oppose The Fly, but there we go.

I am also hoping to see Windsor Park progress in the Novices, to hopefully step up to the Neptune.

Over at Sedge, I like Rose over the Moon, who ran a cracker in the Roland Meyrick on the back of some poor efforts. 12s look nice.

All from me for a few weeks as Sunny Florida beckons.

Be lucky chaps.

I'd worry about your state of mind, because I thought much the same, and backed Clarcam last night...

Have a good holiday, and I'll collect my prezzie in Birmingham Wink

Holy Horseshit.

Now I'm convinced!

Clarcam didn't touch a twig and didn't get near him!

11/8 betfair.

Done.

Looked bang under it 4 from home, and pulls out stacks!

Shame that McCoy messed up the last for the 2nd time today...

I don't think Jezki had any chance even if he'd pinged the last today.

That's why it's a shame that he did Smiley

He looked beat, but when McCoy gets going, I wouldn't write anything off. Made that mistake enough times.

I hope Ruby doesn't get emotional and desert Faugheen.

12ish for the 3 Mullins favs to win first 3 on the Tuesday. Tempting

Can't imagine it will shorten anymore between now and Cheltenham, so probably best waiting, and hoping that it buckets down just before the Tuesday.

HF definitely needs soft going to have a decent chance to win at Chelts imo.
