Jungle cat 10 e/w looks a bit long (3.30 newmarkett), represents much of the top class form last season, obviously hates soft, least his forms in the book, 2 places of looks a punt

Bonds girl 28/1 e/w looks a bet aswell with faheys horses going well and it being decent first time up last time (4.05 newmarket). Has a bit to find on ratings but its performances vs mattmu  suggest that rating is a fair bit off anyway.

I've been to the Craven meeting at Newmarket a few times over the years

Always liked it, usually in grim weather though...its when you get to see how the winter ante-post flat stuff has trained on, or not

anyone know why it is not on channel 4 this week?

It has not been on Channel 4 for some 10 years now.

RUK hold the TV rights, and by not sharing those rights with other broadcasters, it helps drive subscription to RUK.

Shame we can't chuck Alice Plunkett over to RUK, and get Lydia in return!

I was thinking that was never 10 years ago, and it turns out it was exactly 10 years ago that the decision was made by channel 4 to axe it. I used to love watching it on TV.

For those without racing UK, you can just put a small bet on and watch the races.  Or do a back and lay on Betfair if a tightwad.

10 years? blimey,

Of course if you are a shy bet customer, you'll be able to watch the races later on the sporting life website.  They even let you do this long after refusing to lay any reasomable bet to you on racing!

The wood ditton race at 220pm today at Newmarket, is a race for unraced 3 year olds. Used to always be the last race on Craven today, but today its earlier. Quite a strong word about for Winter House at a general 5/1. Top stable of course, but one that was noted in a few spotters notebooks on the gallops in recent weeks. They expect it to go on to listed level at the least. Couple of points win at a general 5/1. Good Luck

Hopefully it made up for a few rubbish ones of late!

Id actually make a note of the horses that finished behind, the Wood Ditton has always been a race in the past that carries its form well when won by a promising 3 year old. I will personally make a note in my tracker of the first 5 home, and 2nd-5th will be well worth backing in maidens next time out unless they are too short or up against a big stable hot pot.

I would love to Adz, but we both know you're much more likely to get the invite to the mansions than me Smiley

I think Godolphin could have a wonderful year based on the horses I am seeing so far, and especially now they have some top drawer hungry straight jockeys doing their biding.
