I'm sure I just saw the dealer dealing from the bottom of the deck on the stream.

Some background information on Bassam Elia, according to one of his more active railers.

He doesn't mind being just called Sam.
He is a frequent home games player who plays 2/3 times a week.
He goes to Vegas once a year with a group of his friends.
This is his first real tournament and he doesn't even really play casino poker.
He bought in directly to the comp.
He is a big charity worker.

For what its worth and what I have seen from him he brings a different dynamic to the table and whilst getting lucky a few times is holding his own.

Pete Linton is up to 9m and probable chip leader

He won a nice pot off Farhad Sayardi with J-8 in the small bind

check calling on 10-2--J-Q

Check check on the K river

Sayardi mucked before Linton even showed

--

I spoke to Pete (who upbraided me for misquoting him earlier. If I did, sorry.)

"This is a life's dream. It's my ambition to be a millionaire before I am thirty"

"How old are you Pete"

"29" comes the reply

I whisper

"Does that mean no deals Pete?"

He gives a slight grimace

"I will play it by ear......"

and none of that is a misquote!

With Alban and Linton having 17-18m of the 41m in play between them it doesn't sound like an early deal is in the offing does it?

depending on who makes the final 9 having two monster stacks makes it MORE likely there will be a deal imo.
