He turned down an ICM offer when he is chip leader and would expect him to have an edge over the field? Is it just me failing to see how its so amazing that he did so?

Granted 300k is a hell of a lot of money.

GL to him though would like to see it played out.

I'd struggle to turn down €300,000 if everyone else had to expose their cards for the rest of the comp.

Nah, Pete turned down a compromise offer which was based on half-ICM and half-chip counts. Sounded like a very fair deal to me, but it is obviously his right to turn down whatever he wants.

So sick for Jules though. If he won that pot then he would have been up there with the chip leaders, and would have been the favourite to win IMO. He is so good at poker, and more importantly has the most experience of playing under this sort of pressure at the business end of big tournaments. He is also one of the most principled and classy guys I know in poker.

I sure would of turned down €300,000 but from what I have read he wasn't going to deal without been compensated.

Kudos to Xavier for optimism, what a story.
