I did wonder about the huge guarantee in a place tough  to get to (for most)

Might need to plan a last minute driving trip

I always underestimate the amount of runners for tournaments with a guarantee.. but surely a ceiling of 750 or so is likely.

250k overlay if so!
Think theyre at least a little worried as i see them trying to punt "cheap" hotel rooms all over the place

Squeaky bum time for sure!

Think you have missed the 43 package qualifiers from PS but your numbers are otherwise correct. Nothing like a challenge Smiley

We are trying to create something big here and rejuvenate the Irish poker scene so hopefully from our perspective the €250k overlay doesn't happen Wink

If you could rejuvenate the Irish economy while you're at it I'd be most grateful.

Anyone flying in on the evening Ryanair Shannon flight on Weds and:

1) Want to split carhire or

2) Want to split taxi/minibus??

Think last bus is like 9pm and flight gets in at 10 unless anyone knows any different bus companies!!

Hi, I've made a bit of an error and double booked myself into two hotels for this trip and i'm past the free cancellation time. Before I cough up €119 for nothing I'm wondering if anyone would need a room at Flannery's from 6th Aug (Tuesdsay) checking out 11th August (Sunday). Here's their website http://www.flanneryshotelgalway.com/home.htm

I've paid £543.64 / €625 for that booking, if this looks alright to anyone who hasn't sorted their accom yet i'd happily take £500 / €578.

Cheers

nevermind, it's gone now

If anyone's looking for a cheap double room a few of my mates have a room spare. It's an appt with UKIPT regs, Owen Robinson, Kevin Williams, David Docherty and Chi Tsang. It's €150 till next Monday

Just stumbled across this thread. Amazing stuff!

Loving the old school photo of what I can only infer is the 1987 Ice Hockey and Poker Dual-Event Team. Wish there were more team events at festivals like that; the game can be so community based that there must be room for fun things like that.

As an aside, it reminded me of my 8ball pool days at uni, when I played in the University Pool Council event (essentially the British University Championships). This was from the 2005 event:

I think some kid called Moorman made the All Star Team that year from a different uni. Never made it to the big time pool leagues tho AFAIK. Not sure what became of him.
